Zimbabwe sign kit deal with Reebok

The rehabilitation of Zimbabwe Cricket has taken another major step following the signing of a lucrative kit sponsorship deal with the sports manufacturer Reebok.

Zimbabwe Cricket managing director, Ozias Bvute confirmed the deal, telling Sports Pro Media: "I can confirm that an agreement has been reached with Reebok but we will make a public announcement in the next few weeks. We are currently finalising the details."

The deal is expected to cover all national teams and franchises, and brings to an end a long-term tie-in with the local manufacturers, Faith Wear. The national squad, which is currently in South Africa ahead of a series of two Twenty20s and three ODIs, is likely to start using the new kit as soon as possible.

Reebok is a subsidiary of the German sports manufacturer Adidas, which has already secured kit deals with the Sri Lanka and South Africa cricket teams.
I really love FaithWear, honestly, but ZC is on steroids at the moment. I know everyone on this forum has been commending them over and over - and right now, we have to do it again! I know its just kit but this is positive news.

Yep we are standing in line for my FIRST zim shirt, I really liked the new faith wear kit, their Last I guess and they went out with a bang. That contract was quite significant for faith I guess. I think they had also become complacent as the quality had become very shoddy, down to stitching details. Thank you Faith welcome Reebok!

Looking forward to the new kit, esp the Test one - when we get there (soon). At the moment, SA and Sri Lanka's Reebok kit doesn't do it for me! LOL. Yes, I know its just cream/white but when you see England's and Australia's - there is a big difference - personally, I like the Australian kit. I guess time will tell...
