I also agree. I just don't agree that he is in the best 11. The squad definately, I just wouldnt have him in my final line up.
Im glad that you agree with the zim dog but i wouldnt have got that impression reading the below post from yesterday:

Grant has had a great career and im not doubting the knowledge and experience that he brings to the team but I feel there are probably a couple of other players that could play just as well in matches of this format.

Giving some of the players that havent had that much exposure to the bigger games, I feel blooding them now would be of benefit.

I'm not too critical of his performances in the first couple of matches though given his time out of international cricket but do feel that as our structural and coaching cricket changes, both domestically and internationally have for the most been about moving to the future and I cannot help but think having grant playing is not in keeping with this trend.

To me it sounds similar to when there was speculation that australia would recall shane warne after his retirement for the ashes. Nothing ever came of it and australia lost but still :D

Maybe it was your persuasive argument zimdoggy. What forum member couldn't agree with you?

of course he should , if u did not know how old he was u would not be questioning this, he can still bat and bowl, he can still field. hes played 2 matches now, first he struggled who wouldnt after 6 yrs oout of international sport, 2nd match made 22 off 22 and did what hes in the team for built a partnership and rotated the strike.theres improvement in one game. there are no others atm who can match his role, taylor has to open to keep good starts going same with mazzy. taibu maybe but he cant single handenly do that. give the guy a break he is doing his job like we wanted. hes a better bat than lamb maybe not bowler, but thats the bowlers job not flowers.if our bowlers could take wickets and keep it tight we would not be complaining , i am glad flower is in the team he creates comfort for the youngsters and a experience head in situations. he has also played all over the world sumthing a lot of the team has not done.if he continues to make runs and do his job then yes i believe he should keep playing until he fails and is dropped, but if his form slumps then he should be dropped as soon as it does. atm surely leave the lad alone !

I think we need Grant Flower just for his bowling. He goes for less than nine an over which is pretty good for Zimbabwe.

On yesterday's performance, Grant should be playing all the time. His experience is needed in bowling and above all batting. Yesterday just proved that under pressure, our batting still collapses. Thank you.
