Oh my goodness what a terrible start, this could get very ugly. Take the seamers off and bring on a spinner, any spinner. Or at least someone who looks like they don't want to give away runs. You would think it's Sri lanka's birthday or something

Words fail me, Mpofu has been serving up dross today, payangara to his credit came back well from an initial beating. I would have selected Shingarai as one of the bowlers, he can bowl up to 85 mph

This is getting ridiculous is there some unknown quota that says you have to give a boundary delivery every over?

The spinners come on and stop the flow of runs. Why don't we just drop the seamers and play an all spin attack. Our flirtation with seamers hasn't helped us at all throughout the world cup. We should have left the lot at home an brought a few more spinners.

If we aren't careful this could get very bad. What is the upper bounds of what Zimbabwe can chase if everything goes perfectly to plan? Beyond 300 I don't know if it would even be within reach.

And Chakabva opening instead of Coventry doesn't fill me with confidence. Chakabva is a known quantity (ie. has yet to impress), at least with Coventry or even Duffin you know that they are capable (albeit unlikely) of getting a decent score.

The game is slipping away and we're only 15 overs in :( Lamb and Cremer both need to bowl at under 4 an over to keep hope alive...

Our chances of winning this match were always slim but making an impression and improving self esteem should've been some of the objectives in this world cup. After NZ and this start, I'm very afraid. We need to distance ourselves from the other so-called minnows - remember Ireland chased a high score against England and Bangladesh gave a good go against India.

I may ruffle a few feather but I am tempted to wonder whether Ireland are better than Zim..I know we beat them in the last ODI series but what makes their performances so much better than ours when even in a match they lose? :?:

Why are our bowlers so toothless? I thought we had something when we took 6 Aus wickets but 6 wickets today doesnt seem likely..Dnt get me wrong, I would love to be proved wrong today!!!

What I cant get is why we are not competitive in the matches? I am not expecting to win but I would like to at least lose with some dignity that showcases our fighting spirit!! :x

Truly toothless much like the New zealand match, Need to get guys like Jarvis back fit and also get chatara in the side, cant be any worse than Payangara and mpofu, our medium paced trundlers are getting whalloped
