It now seems a premature end of world cup for me. All the best team India

This should have been the team from beggining. Craig looks good and he will get better. Chigs also did cool today. But credit to umar gul whose been bowling well today. We can still win this so long as it doesnt rain too much

Two balls only and Masakadza Jnr looks like he should have been opening all along

Thats what I have been saying all along!!Conant wrote:Two balls only and Masakadza Jnr looks like he should have been playing all along

he is a big physical presence and gets good pace and bounce, he was swinging it in that over. i like him personally and while sometimes he can be expensive he is a wickettaker and he and Chatara are the future for Zimbabwe pace bowling both ODI and test matches
Re: [Match Thread] Pakistan v Zimbabwe (CWC Group A)
And then he messed up the ensuing overs...
Re: [Match Thread] Pakistan v Zimbabwe (CWC Group A)
Masakadza is too expensive for international cricket. When we are defending a low score you can't have him bowling away any chance we have at victory.
Neil Johnson, Alistair Campbell, Murray Goodwin, Andy Flower (w), Grant Flower, Dave Houghton, Guy Whittall, Heath Streak (c), Andy Blignaut, Ray Price, Eddo Brandes

The dissappointing thing about watching Zimbabwe batting performance today was the commentary by our Chairman of Selectors , Mr Alaistair "Stanford" Campbell who has snivelled his way into commentary which should not be allowed by a Chairman of Selectors. During the innings he mentioned a few of the batsmen lacked technique. If that is the case why did he choose them. Our bad performance at the world cup goes back to selection and the current dismissal financial affairs in Z.C

I'm seeing slot of hate for campbell these days that I don't get....
Conant. I really dint think it's alis fault that chigumbura decided yo bat first.
Campbell is only a selector

Not sure about his commentary role, but other than that, what's the problem?

It is Ali's fault that Masakadza was left behind. It is Ali's fault Coventry was taken along. It is Ali's fault a whole inexperienced team was chosen for the world cup ahead of proven track record. Poor Regis Chakabva, they are just gonna do a Kasteni on him.ZIMDOGGY wrote:I'm seeing slot of hate for campbell these days that I don't get....

Believe me Campbell holds much influence other than just team selection. You think he had no influence in that diabolical decision, and others made in this tournament? Who then? Butcher? Ah, another one who’s been absolved of blame on this forum
