If you bat at number 7 for your franchise, then you can be veey excited as you have a good chance of opening for the national team!
I just cant get over the Coventary blunder.

Fair play to Ervine, he has been a rock in this world cup so far, the real bright spark
Re: [Match thread] Kenya vs Zimbabwe
Unless something changes, Elton is failing yet again....I think its time the captancy is given to someone else and let him focus on his game..I suggest Ray Price since he is the elder stateman or even Taibu...
This should be the one match he should shine in...if stays on till the 45th over then we expect him to explode!

If you’ve been batting with Taibu long enough you would know that him taking a few steps forward does not mean he’s taking a run. It only gives him an opportunity to take one quick one if possible. Watch him when he’s backing up. He’s always been quick enough to scurry back if need b. Rather wait for a call or a certain run. Not absolving him, but it’s a sign that he’s aware and looking for runs every time. Need more like himbayhaus wrote:Vusi and Tibba have been involved in 31 runouts between together. It looks like Tibba was at fault. But Vusi also should gave seen earlier that Tibba is not running today. Vusi could have gone to 100.
Chakabva should not be seen anywhere near the opening spot.

Can we stop all this ridiculous Campbell basing, would we rather have Kenyon Zheil in charge someone with no first class experience or one of the best ever Zimbabwe batsman of all time.jonge wrote:not sure whats worth laughing about more, the 31st run out between vusi/tibs or stanfords{cambells} commentary
Bear in mind that Campbell does not have a veto on the board, the other selectors also have an input as well as Alan Butcher who sees the boys day in day out so is in a far beter place to decide who should be in the squad than us
When was the last time that any of us spent a whole day watching Logan Cup or Pro 40 cricket? so how can we have better knowledge of Zimbabwe cricket than the man who commentates on every international, sees the boys in training and watches the domestic matches along with consulting with he likes of Jason Gillespie, David Houghton, Monty Lynch, Andrew Hall and Gary Brent?
Re: [Match thread] Kenya vs Zimbabwe
This Campbell bashing is ridiculous. Sure he took a gamble with Coventry opening - selectors take risks all the time. Sanath Jayasuriya was never considered an opener either until someone thought why don't we put him at the top of the order. On ething people forget is that Coventry was actually considered an opener when he was first selected for Zimbabwe.zimfan1 wrote:Can we stop all this ridiculous Campbell basing, would we rather have Kenyon Zheil in charge someone with no first class experience or one of the best ever Zimbabwe batsman of all time.jonge wrote:not sure whats worth laughing about more, the 31st run out between vusi/tibs or stanfords{cambells} commentary

Totally agree Zimfan1. This Campbell leg-pulling is uncalled for. Had he not been there than we could have performed worse than Kenyazimfan1 wrote:Can we stop all this ridiculous Campbell basing, would we rather have Kenyon Zheil in charge someone with no first class experience or one of the best ever Zimbabwe batsman of all time.jonge wrote:not sure whats worth laughing about more, the 31st run out between vusi/tibs or stanfords{cambells} commentary

Campbell, a man of many words and some crazy decisions, but man who deserves a lot of respect and admiration.
He came back to Zimbabwean Cricket and pledged his help, I think we need to remember just what he's put back inot the game over the past 2 years, and stop bashing him to death.
Rant over
