As long as he doesn't play county cricket, i'm all for it!
He's playing in a good standard there aswell, not some poxy league in the U.K atleast, and to have been recognized shows that he's in some kind of form xD

Agreed. The experience can only be good for him.sloandog wrote:As long as he doesn't play county cricket, i'm all for it!

A talented batsman but a modest, hardworking character, Stuart Matsikenyeri is the third of three school friends from Churchill Boys High School, Harare to represent Zimbabwe in international cricket. - Cricinfo.
Re: Kyle Jarvis Playing for Essex
Can somebody who is perhaps a little smarter than me tell me why someone like Jarvis can't turn his back on zimbabawe, play for Essex (real Essex, not 2nd). Make a bit of cash and then .... Just happen to decide to come back to zim around august or when Logan cup starts.
This could be a good way to get around certain laws if you know what I'm saying....
Gotta think creative to get ahead

Re: Kyle Jarvis Playing for Essex
I'm anxious to see this guy play a role in the upcoming preparation games. It appears he has well & truly recovered, so Butcher and his team should get him back to prepare with the other guys. What's the story there? I'm sure we can afford to pick him for ODIs at least.
I haven't seen much of this guy, but the prospect of him being our only true international class quick really excites me. None of the other guys since Streak (and maybe Blignaut & Friend) has made that kind of impression on me. Still we need to be careful with him, not even Steyn & Morne were thrown into Tests that early despite their pace and domestic form.
