So......what then??? IS he or isn't he, he thinks he is. I guess it's lucky we have some time to sort that out before there are any internationals. Would be a little embarrassing to have a couple captains pitch up at practice. More speculation needed i guess.

In short, Elton told the media about his "resignation" before he told ZC. Looks like ZC will now follow England and have three captains, one in each for of the game.

I don't think in terms of talent and experience we have enough wealth to consider going with 3 separate captains for 3 formats. Besides we don't play that many international matches (i.e. 3 match test series/5 match ODI series) for us to have a captain who will gain enough ability from merely captaining in one form of the game. Our calendar is very thin. So that option is pointless. We don't have the luxury for it to be practical.

My predition: Tests & ODIs: Taibu; T20s: Elton. Elton for T20s firstly, because Taibu is not well suited to T20s, secondly he's been captain before and he's cut out for that form of the game; lastly, I couldn't be bothered about T20 cricket!

What's this nonsense I hear about Takashinga making a noise were Elton to be removed! Yes, by our standards he has been decent in terms of captaincy and secondly he has delivered in the past while he's form has only dipped of late, so some might have a MINOR argument there but that's about it. Overall he's been shit! We can't build on a foundation held by that kind of stuff! We need mortar and that happens to be Taibu!!!

I think that having a captain for each format is ridiculous. I mean Maybe one for T20 and another for the other two but seriously it seems a waste.

That being said, I think it will go like this, T20 Elton, ODI Taibu/Taylor and tests Taibu. But say just give it to Taibu the whole darn lot. I still want Ray, but that doesn't seem to be happening.

dont really like the dude has an attitude problem, so for that reason he should stay on as captain and screw his career up...BUT fo the love of the game brother needs to leave the skipper post period!!! all of it, no T20, no ODI and def no Test!!! i think Tatend will work best alone, knowing him off pitch i think the squabbles of working with someone will taketheir toll on him and when TIba isnt happy we all know what Tiba does best...leaves ask the Mountaineers, they have a recent typical Tiba walk out...bottom line give Tatenda all or nothing...or give Ray all, dont think he wants it though, it seems all the white players are smart enough to stay away from the post, they get it that in zim cric conditions of losing, that skipper band comes at a price, a very high price..your form..BUT i think tatenda can deal, he has dealt before, just give him the post and then back off and let him be, im sure he'll manage...FYI DONOT give that post to Brendan ross MUrray Taylor/ craig Ervine/Sean williams/Hamilton/prosper(again) for different reasons:
