'Conflict of interest' comes about when the two groups that someone is involved with have different aims. AC, in his ZC role, has the aim of nurturing what cricketing talent we've got, to provide the players we need to play good cricket. Dominus sport, as promoters of most of ZC's events, are only going to make money out of those events if... we're playing good cricket. I'm not seeing a 'conflict of interest' there.

What there may be are governance issues, though, and a perception that Dominus are being handed rights to the events on a plate thanks to AC's involvement with them. But that's a separate matter.

A conflict of interest (COI) occurs when an individual or organization is involved in multiple interests, one of which could possibly corrupt the motivation for an act in the other.

A couple of months ago when I called him Alastair "Standford" Campbell some of you complained that my sledging of him was a bit harsh and at one stage someone actually asked me to stop sledging him but now I see most of the forum are waking up to what I was talking about a couple of months ago
