It's always interesting hearing about things like this. Ed Rainsford is from Kadoma, is there a community there too?

What about Afrikaner communities? Are there any pockets left in farming areas?
Not too sure about Kadoma.

The main Afrikaans community was Enkeldoorn now known as Chivhu, and Beatrice.
Chivhu had about 140 Afrikaans farming families, there's two white families left and neither are Afrikaans.

Tough day, certainly puts our batting performance into perspective.

It does but like somebody said earlier, a lot of modern Asian batter have bloated averages due to these types of wickets, especially the Pakistan and Bangladesh sides. India tend to produce better wickets now days for both bowlers and batters. Our lads should be proud of the 1st innings no matter how we look at it. Bennett will use this as a springboard hopefully to kick start his ODI career too

I think we ended up missing 6 or 7 chances.on a flat wicket you have to take at least some of the half chances. We should have tried the short stuff earlier. Bennett should have bowled earlier. They should have tried Nyamhuri with the new ball. Should have given Myers a couple of overs.
No real imagination from Craig.
I think Blessing and TG should be more accurate. Stock ball has to be top of off or 4th. Far too many pad balls. Blessing's stock ball needs to be about a foot above off stump. He just keeps missing that channel. He's so tough to play when he gets it right.

A lot can happen in 2 days. This game is far from dead.

BD wickets were hella flat till 2015. Since then they have been shit. Bangladesh over the last 4-5 years has a better away Test record than they do at home to illustrate how it’s gone. And the batters have suffered accordingly. I think most of our batters now average more away from home on truer surfaces than on whatever slab of dung we have in Mirpur and Chittagong. Sporting wickets are the way to go for everyone. You can occaisionally throw in the odd belter highway or a minefield/green top.

They're going to rack up a massive total here, this is heading towards a pretty dull draw.

I don't really blame the bowlers for this performance, this is such a flat track I think the ZCF XI would also have a few centurions.

Nyamhuri has got potential. I wouldn't be against replacing Mavuta with Raza for the next game.
Kindly ask to please not do your thing of ignoring the moderation question here. It’s rude and the forum has had major issues with it.
All things considered, it's mostly okay. There's thousands upon thousands of spam posts and users in the backend that don't make it through; the vast majority of legitimate ones do.

I don't have access to make further changes because the forum software is quite old. I saved a list of the user emails some time back so that if one day it all crashes I can send an update by email and we'll figure out where to become refugees -- hopefully the forum software keeps ticking along for a while to come though.
Facebook might be the best place to create a preemptive backup just in case. This forum software will likely die anytime now.

It’s not something that can be brushed off much longer. It’s no longer a ‘make Zimdoggy great again’ joke.
Bugs plague this site. We can no longer upload images or screenshots in messages. I’m constantly getting logged out and when I post an error page comes up, although the message usually posts.
There are a few of these little quirks.

What’s more, we had an issue a long time with the Stoneman murky accounter which polluted the forum with nonsensical crap ‘6 bowls an over’ ‘fuck blacks’ etc and he was allowed to run rampant until he got bored. We had no one to police it.
Once a few years ago as you may remember a user here was doxxed. It was dealt with as you were more active…. But what is to stop that happening again and who will be here to take care of it?
That person is somewhat a target.
Make no mistake. If that happens to me here, I will sue this forum for all it’s worth, because this could have been rectified years ago after repeated requests from many members. There are anti doxxing laws now that reside with the administrator.
Actually I would not, that’s a lie…. But I could.
I don’t think anyone would care to dox me but hey, someone else may be and they may have the idea. Also there are questions of libel etc. The forum is unmanned atm.
Maehara and maybe even yourself are legally exposed. F that noise.

There is also repeated complaints that new members can’t sign up here. Last week we had an active national team member who could not get through. I don know what he wanted to say but that would sure be interesting to have seen.

No one is asking for admin rights or to replace you. Just let someone who actually visits the forum sit in one of the seats with you and Maehara, who hasn’t visited in 4 years himself.

Do you not agree that a forum should have a mod who visits the page?
ZCF is very highly viewed by the cricketing world. Why are we even needing to ask ?

The Haritatos family are from Kadoma, perhaps a Greek stronghold?

Rahmat could crack 300 in this game. Williams and Ervine must be spewing that they didn't go on and make big daddy hundreds.

This puts our first innings into perspective a bit, but it's not a bad thing to play on a deck like this from time to time because it's given Bennett and to a lesser extent Curran some nice memories at this level. And the subcontinent teams (looking at you Pakistan) regularly get to pad their stats on highways.

Maybe Myers is worth a few overs. Masakadza used to be our medium-pace golden arm and we need someone like that right now!
Agreed. That feels like a really bad day. It also recalibrates day 1 and 2 in the context of the pitch. We could have cashed in more.

Does it also raise questions about our lack of depth in terms of spinners on dead tracks? I think so.

The drops were terribly harmful. I remember a time when were arguably the best fielding nation on earth. A sad decline. Fielding is best learned young.

Doesn't seem positive for tomorrow.
