I don't think they will. He's never featured in A-team (Wolves) squads to my knowledge. He did play in that Zim Emerging vs SA Emerging about 6 months ago, so I assume he is a "local" player.

Those games were during the Irish season as well, so he flew into Zim specifically to play in those fixtures.

Scoring a FC double ton is now easy achievement. Really impressed with this. This is what we need more of our guys doing. It's massively eclipsed another Matty Welch half century

We really have a cohort of a batsman that can score runs in domestic which is good.
Majority of them being under 26.

Another century from Wes as well, clearly he's learning, taken a while, but he's making up for lost time.
A century from Maru as well. I was watching the other game so didn't see them bat.
The white boys vying for spots are putting these guys under pressure and they're responding well.
Brilliant chanceless double from Ali Frost. Skips the ordinary centuries and straight to a double, against a good attack as well.
A superb 78 from MW, the centuries are eluding him, but anyone who watched that had to be impressed, there's nobody in our set up that scores runs so fluently. Perhaps Williams edges him, but not for long. He got a good googly, which he picked, but just turned a bit more. He needs centuries whilst others appear to only need 40's. If he gets the opportunities he is likely to become our best batsman. If he was black he'd have 80 caps by now
Joylord woefully out of form. NW I think was a bit unlucky again. He gets the wrong end of a lot of LBW's. Langton was the umpire as well, but that was outside the line. Great ball but for certain that wasn't out, bad timing because he probably needs a score to make the starting eleven.
Rhinos and Mountaineers I think are significantly stronger than the other teams this season. I was surprised Mountaineers didn't declare and have 5 overs at Rhinos, they've missed a day and they're not going to bowl Rhinos out twice if they bat any longer. That's negative cricket for me. They should have told Frost to hurry up and get his double and then immediately declared.

I reckon with how the bonus points work and how the table is at the moment.Googly wrote: ↑Thu Jan 30, 2025 5:43 amAnother century from Wes as well, clearly he's learning, taken a while, but he's making up for lost time.

Mountaineers really just need a draw and dont want to give the Rhinos an chance to win or get any bonus points.

Good point. Looking at the big picture maybe a better option.
If mountaineers bat for a couple more hours (not a guarantee either) then it's very likely going to be a slow draw unless Rhinos collapse twice, which is unlikely.
400 is a big total, if Rhinos only make 300 there's a shot at a win.
It's a tough decision.

Jeez another 100 from BC! What a great run of form he is in
Re: Franchise Round 7 - Logan Cup & Pro 50 (26th-31st January 2025)
And another from Tanu Makoni, and Fraine closing in on a hundred as well.
These two have mostly rescued Tuskers from an innings defeat, they keep going they could force a draw. Great stuff!

They need to invite SA emerging over again so that some of these guys get tested at a higher level. Good to see them scoring runs. Especially Wes. I always felt like he struggled to build an innings. This will really help him develop. He is in good form .
