If he scores a half century in the Pro 50 final he has a decent chance of being the top run scorer there as well.
Franchise Round 9 - Pro50 & Logan (3- 9 March)
Re: Franchise Round 9 - Pro50 & Logan (3- 9 March)
Obsessed with certain stats for certain players. Old maunze makes a ton and propagandists start clamour. Like bro’s had four scores over 40 in the entire season.
Welch won’t get a fifty in the pro50, no ways hey. He’ll get the most horrific LBW decision ever to ensure that won’t happen.
Pitching a yard outside leg, missing the stumps by a yard in both the vertical and horizontal planes but iknow (nothing) chabi will be paid to give it
This new guy is looking good hey? Old matigimu. Real handful and real miserly. Can’t believe the usual suspects aren’t pumping him up as a PONI, generational talent or national treasure. Slacking there, halfway through the fixture already.

They're only obsessed with stats when it suits the agenda. If it's not working out they'll focus on a particular game and if that fails they'll resort to discussing ceilings and perhaps performances a year or two ago.
Joylord is a good example, he's had a terrible season, and not done much on the international stage either, but this last 50 will book his ticket to Bangladesh.
I did find out that the coaches asked ZC to include NW in the white ball against Ireland and were emphatically told no, so what Salamander wants he doesn't in fact get, so that's a complete lie and shows he's got nothing to do with any selections really, it's just propaganda.
Matigimu bowled well yesterday, but a good bowler on that deck with tennis ball bounce will keep batters quiet. He's another guy that's direct opposition for Evans. But Evans is hands down our most consistent and parsimonious seamer. There's nobody with his control and in a real world would be an absolutely essential pick for English conditions in particular. I never found out exactly what Matigimu has been doing cricket-wise. I think he was around the Titans development squad for a while and then played for Tuks for a number of years.
I'm sure Prince will be in the mix as well. He's got what it takes to open against a good attack, as has Joylord. I was surprised not to see Prince in the squad against Canada. Picking Chiorah ahead of him, even in a 50 over just doesn't make sense, Chiorah, despite his good eye, is miles off being ready for that level. "Prince is the best opener in Zim, prove me wrong" seems to have been forgotten.
Zolsky waxed lyrical about Maunze, who's had a decent season as well, but his career stats and strike rate are not great, but for sure I think he's gone up a level, he looks very organised at the crease.
NW has been playing spin very well. The usual suspects said that's where he struggled, but the last two innings he's been in great touch. Eagles missed a trick by not bowling Madhevere against him, you can see he doesn't like the slow spin and Madhevere has gotten him out twice cheaply. That's just poor captaincy from whoever is the Eagles captain.
I'm trying to figure out what Mountaineers need to do to win the Logan Cup. The points system is confusing!! It looks like they need to post 350 for max batting points for starters. NW and TM probably need to get the bulk of those so one of them probably needs a big hundred. Then they need enough time to bowl Eagles out, so they cant bat much past lunch. It looks like this pitch is flattening out, but there's also the chance of rain. It's going to be a very absorbing game. It has been already. Mountaineers deserve the title, they've been dicked around by ZC and umpires big time this season. They'd have won already if the Umpires hadn't engineered a draw a couple of weeks ago. That was absolutely shameless.
They're probably not finished today, either.
Re: Franchise Round 9 - Pro50 & Logan (3- 9 March)
Blistering session, only need another hundred, get that, declare by lunch and 5 sessions at eagles. They won’t be as bad second time around.
Re: Franchise Round 9 - Pro50 & Logan (3- 9 March)
Both out. Mountaineers watching their title hopes fading here.
Re: Franchise Round 9 - Pro50 & Logan (3- 9 March)
All these pitches misbehave in the morning session, must be moisture or temperature related.
Re: Franchise Round 9 - Pro50 & Logan (3- 9 March)
Old Wellington masakadza premier all rounder will save the day. Build a solid partnership with matty welch.
Re: Franchise Round 9 - Pro50 & Logan (3- 9 March)
They need 93 runs, 5 down and runs looking very hard to come by
Re: Franchise Round 9 - Pro50 & Logan (3- 9 March)
It’s not over until it’s over.
