Good bit of vision then seeing the boys get their caps this morning.

That was a memorable one. Hope Sean also saw that. There is nothing like test arena and it was so nice to see the opners(a debutant included) doing what Grant-Kevin did on 18 Oct 1992.

It's just a beginning and they have more torrid times to come in this test. I hope people like Shakib and Tamim know by now what to say and how to say. Would love Kyle rattling his timbers in first over

What did everyone think about that lbw shout? Live I was pretty worried... replay showed it might have just gone over the bails. No UDRS in this series I guess or it would have been reviewed.

Hopefully these two can stick around for another 40 overs, to face the new ball at the end of the day...speaking of which it will be interesting how we negotiate that (close of play) as what I noticed was we tended to lose a cluster around the last 5 overs of the day (in cases from very good positions), maybe getting ahead of myself, all of 30+ overs to go.....

Now we are ten overs from the new ball....this is now a relevant thought....fingers crossed hope I havent jinxed it...

Prayers answered, couldn't have gone better than this, tommorrow we should aim to drive the advantage home, bat once, and have the best of the conditions, and hope the pitch detoriates by day 4 and 5....dreamland

Fantastic, close of play and we didn't lose another wicket. Hope Hamilton and Taylor can go on and make big scores tomorrow. It was a solid start to our test return, there is a lot to be happy about.

fantastic first day of test cricket could not be more stoked. great knock from vusi at the top and mazzzy has really proven how much international cricket means to him over the last 6 months. big day tmorow we neeed to make at least 400 and put them in and try rattel there top order.iqbal and ashraful are very agrresive players and could go cheap if we bowl well. lets go zim lets make history
