Very well played, Zimbabwe. Congratulations guys!
Its going to require a lot for Bangladesh to come back in this one...but I'm backing my boys for the job.

Aliseni claims he was the fastest bowler in Zimbabwe. He has said so on this very forum. Not that he opened the bowling in tests, but how fast was Travis Friend? I seem to remember him being fast when he first hit the international scene.ZIMDOGGY wrote:Blignaut?sloandog wrote:When we bowl, I would love to see Kyle Jarvis with that new Cherrie..
How long has it been since we had a 90Mph, white fast bowler opening the bowling in a test match ? I can think of anyone atall!
For that matter, have we ever seen a black bowler faster?
Bear in mind that olonga was a bit of a myth that was exposed when the speed gun came out and aliseni never got that far

Andy Blignaut. In one of his last tests against West Indies his one ball was clocked at 156kmph and Ridley Jacobs said it was the fastest bowling he had ever faced.sloandog wrote:When we bowl, I would love to see Kyle Jarvis with that new Cherrie..

You sure about that cock?
I knew he had hit 147/8 a few times but I never saw him crack the 150.
Before your post I thought everyone here is in agreeance.
No doubt though he was white lightning on his day though. Alot of wides and no balls as well.
I saw Travis friend bowl 142 in oz. However at that time he was considered a bat. And didn't bowl alot

Is there a speed gun at the ground i wonder, it would be nice to see how fast our pace bowlers are.

Important 30 or 40 minutes coming up. There's a chance the ball which is only 10 overs old could do a little bit... just like yesterday it's going to be important to get through unscathed.

The Bangladeshi bowlers look a lot better this morning. Let's hope our batters keep on going. Close lbw shout there for BD.

It will completely demoralise Bangladesh if they bowl well and they still can't take wickets. It makes this first session even more important in the context of the match.

slow first hour by zim but credit to bangladesh bowlers they have bowled well
