Do you have a linkGoogly wrote: ↑Mon Sep 22, 2025 6:43 amThere's another article that is claiming Raza is thanking Allah for the fortuitous return of our star all-rounder Faraz Akram, who's absence was due to other commitments. Apparently we havent had a star all-rounder since the retirement of Karl Mumba.
I'm not often askance at what goes on, because all things are possible, but if this is true its a real head shaker.
We will turn a corner for the good when Raza retires, disliked by most of the players.
That is an outrageous article about Viljoen. These guys drip poison. Disgusting.

Either it went to his head and he became a prick with the success

Re: Qualifier Warm Ups
If there was ever a picture of an indispensable player in a world cricket team Raza has to be it. In return for being given time off to play T20 leagues he's sung from their hymn sheet. He endorses everything and he doesnt actually have to. There's a lot of mutual grooming going on and in reality its a charade. He appears to take the easy option to help himself. You can't blame him, but if you want real respect then do something other than what 99% of other senior players have done. You throw in your lot with your team mates and be discrete and have their backs.... or with the hierarchy, but then you lose your players. In fairness he's out of his league, they have Phd's in divide and rule. Players are very very careful what they say around him.secretzimbo wrote: ↑Mon Sep 22, 2025 9:25 amIt’s funny that Raza was super popular amongst team mates basically throughout his career up until about three years ago when he suddenly went up a level in ability.
Either it went to his head and he became a prick with the success, or it’s jealousy from everyone else. Probably both.
The Viljoen article is apalling but we knew it was coming ever since the big fallout he had with ZC 2-3 months ago.
Overplayed his hand with Faraz, and brought down to earth when his race accusation fell short. That incident turned a lot of people and they enjoyed his discomfort.
All cricket is back-stabbing politics, but ours is particularly poisonous.

That debacle where he was out at Trent bridge straight on the plane to Pakistan, landing 10 minutes before the PSL final toss, then playing in it was the the tipping point where everyone turned against him
the self importance that two different teams on two different continents in the space of 24 hours couldn’t do without him. It’s wild.

You missed the part where he went on to play the starring role and win the match for the PSL final.Pat_Bee wrote: ↑Mon Sep 22, 2025 5:41 pmThat debacle where he was out at Trent bridge straight on the plane to Pakistan, landing 10 minutes before the PSL final toss, then playing in it was the the tipping point where everyone turned against him![]()

Re: Qualifier Warm Ups
This is about his personality and character and when fans turned on him though isn’t it.
His on field performance is irrelevant to the discussion.
Post any inflammatory statement about old raz dawg and SZ is reeled in like a kipper

I think we’ve got an awful lot to thank him for. Even if he may be a prick personally.

Re: Qualifier Warm Ups
Well Namibia smashed Uganda, we had a good game against Kenya and everyone else looks like they struggled! The only enemy we have right now is pressure! i hope the boys can keep cool and just enjoy the tournament for what it is and god forbid they bring back that brass band!!
The higher you go the cooler it becomes.
Re: Qualifier Warm Ups
Namibia showing their big hitting pedigree. Quite impressive. We need to be playing them more. They are really good opposition.
