Can’t remember the last time we won both the first and second days of a Test so convincingly.

Solid 2 days overall. Looking towards the future, Bennett will probably move down the order. Makes you wonder who will open with Curran post 2027?. I pray they convince Byrom to give it a go but I don't know if it's wise to have 2 left handers opening.
First hour is key tomorrow to wrap this game up. It will be a big statement too. We need to show the world that playing the best teams helped us more than it hurt us

My only concern so far is Craig. I feel like him not being in the T20 setup is hurting him because there is no continuity. Hopefully next year we play many more ODIs with the World Cup in mind. For the first time I genuinely feel like there are better players in our squad than one of the "big 4"

Yep this game and the T20Is are key for proving that Zimbabwe deserve more games against bigger sides. Hopefully we can snag a win or two in that tri series as well, we've shown we can compete hard with SL and Pak in the past, it's a really good chance to make a big statement.TapsC2 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 21, 2025 3:48 pmSolid 2 days overall. Hardly 2 years ago we thought it would be curtains once the big 4 go. Now it's a question of if they are excess to requirements. It's a good space to be in going forward. Great contributions all around. The morning session it going to be key. A few early wickets will put us in a really good position.

Facts. I honestly thought Zimbabwe would be struggling to compete with Nepal or USA once the Big 4 called time. But with Curran, Bennett, Welch, and Evans stepping up, this is no longer the case.tawac wrote: ↑Tue Oct 21, 2025 5:06 pmHardly 2 years ago we thought it would be curtains once the big 4 go. Special kudos to the Evans hype men...I really thought he was just the white version of Jongwe...but 5 wickets for nothing and 35 not out with the bat puts him firmly in the genuine all-rounder spot.
Zimbabwe's future hasn't looked as bright across formats in many many years.
