Emphatic win for the Rhinos, they have fired the warning shot - Tuskers beware. But worrying, worrying signs for the Rocks. They didn't have Vermeulen, Vitori and Taibu but the guys in there should be more responsible. The top two got clean bowled by Rainsford (good work btw). I hate to see whipping boys in the competition, it's not good for anybody, so Rocks c'mon lift your socks up.

Apart from Chibhaba I cant see anyone else in the current team ( in this particular match btw) who are international standard. Have never rated Maragwede much and he flattered to decieve in this match

If there was a team to disband to make this first class more competitive it is the rocks .
I would give the Mavingo half to the Mountaineers and the Mat South between Tuskers and Midwest Rhinos .

I agree with Jemisi to break up a team is ugly,Rocks needs 2 sign a few more experienced players who have international caps.having Taibu/vitori and Vermeulen on the sidelines didn't help..

Following the massive partnership between Ballance & Waller, I researched Logan Cup records & came up with the following record patnerships:
1st- 314 N Ferreira-R Sims Manica v Matabeleland 02/03
2nd - 342 P horton- G Ewing Tuskers v Rocks 10/11
3rd - 295 C Wishart- A Flower Mashona v Mashona "A" 97/8
4th- 330 D Viljoen- C Evans Mashona v Matabeleland 99/00
5th- 267 M Nkala- H Streak Matabeleland v CFX Academy 00/01
6th- 207 F Mutizwa- S Nyamuzinga Easterns v Westerns 08/09
7th - 193 A Flower- D Brain Mashona v Matabeleland 94/95
8th - 237 A Blignaut- D Hondo Mashona v Manica 03/04
9th- 141 S Masakadza- p utseya Mountaineers v Rocks 09/10
10th- 144 D Viljoen-C macMillan Midlands v Manica 02/03

Therefore, Ballance & Malcolm Waller have the new record 3rd wicket partnership of 341.
