We might get it Maehara, if the selectors shuffle the cards a little bit

We keep talking about NZ being closest to us in terms of quality, so that we can have a realistic hope for a victory, and we get beaten by 10 wickets every time we face them! CWC 2011, and now the first T20I. I even remember some journalists placing NZ as underdogs in the CWC 2011 game, due to the spin power of Zim, and how they might strangle NZ batting. None of that happened.

We need to have a serious relook at how we percieve NZ as an opponent. We (with that, i mean the Zim team, the ZC management, and us, the fans) are probably not taking them as seriously as we should, just because we feel NZ is not amongst the top rung teams in terms of percieved quality.

I was under that impression as well since NZ came to the WC after being trounced by Bang. I got a rude awakening! IF we think we are more talented than NZ they make up for it in bucketfuls of determination, consistency, team work and being clinical on the field, which will put our "more talented than them" to nought.

We NEED a better display than on Saturday. It was a bit of a terrible game for us, apart from Taylor, no-one got any runs and there were not enough of anything, not enough single or boundaries. And then our bowling was wayward and the less said about or fielding the better. It almost has to be a better performance cause it would take some effort to put out a worse one. You almost get the feeling that the emphasis has been so much on Test return and the longer format of the gamer that the sort game has been neglected a bit, even our bowling line up is more suited to test matches than T20.

I sense our confidence levels are pretty low at this stage and I think our recent performances with the willow prove it. We seriously need a shrink at this stage to help our guys.

Meth playing for tuskers in four day game and has already taken a wicket so he wont be playing in 20/20 worse luck. I think Devon malcolm looks more techinically correct than Chigumbura batting nowadays and we cant accept mediocrity

If Zim wins the toss what should they do? the outfield is a bit wet and they is a bit of cloud cover.
