ok, there you go: that innings pretty much books Stuart Matsikenyeri's ticket to New Zealand. Is it just me or is Elton Chigumbura simnply the most overated cricketer ever?

Guptil, McCullum, Taylor & Ryder can't wait!
....
If this were FC I'd worry, T20, I think we are reading way too much into things!Jemisi wrote:0 for 60 for Cremer. Is he over the hill? Just shows we should keep most of our powder dry during this T20 stuff.
But having said that, this Muzhange boy is something else! If our fast bowling department wasn't competitive it just got a notch hotter...I like what I see...
Good knock from Stewy, but I'd like to see him in FC to seal the ticket, but granted he's staked his claim, but I'd never decide a test squad based on 3 T20s...
1. Mawoyo 2. Duffin 3. Sibanda 4. Taylor 5. Masakadza 6. Williams 7. Chakabva 8. Creamer 9. Jarvis 10. Rainsford 11. Mpofu

I'm not worried about Cremer. I was making a point about some of the wild assertions that get made after each innings or spell in this T20 stuff. Imagine some of the comments if it had been Price.FlowerPower wrote:hhm wrote:NZ must be salivating at the thought of Cremer bowling to them in the Tets match!

Young Muzhange strikes again .I wonder were all these gems where .
I have never been this excited like this .......
1.Better first class ( regular playing time)
2. More competition for national team places .( no passengers)
3. Zim going to be giant slayers (Top 5 in the next 5 years )

100% agreed, he shouldent be on the plane in my veiw, if we select him we are saying that he performances have been up to standard, when in truth since 2010 he has been terrible. Id rather have Nathen Waller in the sideConant wrote:ok, there you go: that innings pretty much books Stuart Matsikenyeri's ticket to New Zealand. I think Muzhange should go to NZ for the T20s just to give him exposure

Brilliant Matsi!
Best innings of the tournament in my book. Unlike the end the innings blind swipe of the bat by Ballance, or Gayle's unattractive stand-and-deliver. Missed out on a deserved century to put it beyond doubt! Another stupid shot, not long after Neil Johnson heaped praises on him.
AC is impressed and he acknowledged that he's been having a good run in domestic cricket. Appropriate for one of him and Ewing to get a chance in the T20/ODI or Test squad respectively. They've earned it!
Mushangwe's done better than Cremer, so if Muzhange who's also done well gets the nod ahead of one of Ncube/Meth/Vitori, then Mushangwe should also get the nod ahead of Cremer. Most of you have very much thrown your weight behind the youngsters, so why not Mushangwe ahead of the recovering Cremer? It happend to rainsfor did it not? Same situation he's also coming back from a lengthy injury!
For those who question Elton, you only need to think back on his Tets performance against Bangladesh, as well as his batting against a strong AusXI bowling unit. He will be in the Test XI.
