Bulawayo looks rather dilapidated these days from what I have seen on tv, internet, etc.,. I assume the city is being punished for being an MDC town. Queens Sports Club is an embarrasment as an international venue, it is picturesque but it looks like a dump on tv. I can only imagine what the other grounds in the city look like.

I've assumed the same. Also there is just the size issue to deal with, as money inflows shrank to a trickle, Bulawayo had fewer options than Harare.

Today's game is a 20/20, good info on:

http://www.webcricket.co.za/games/view/ ... 4512Dec11/

Zim 146/6 in their 20. (Burl 54 off 34) Border 9/0, 1.3 overs.

Ryan Burl batted well 2 in 2 innings so far, and he's a lefty! One to watch perhaps?

The result of that match seems to be lost :(

Currently Burl and co. are under a bit of pressure. After bowling out Boland for 256 (M. Lake 3-52 or 4-52, whichever scoreboard on webcricket.co.za you want to believe), the top order has gone cheaply.

Still it seems that this team and the 14s have a bit of starch about them that was missing with their recent predecessors (Calums team)

Wonder where calum went

Did Callum Price actually make a first class debut last season ?
Looks like we can add him to the rest of the white players who haven't re-joined this year; Butterworth being one

Not sure where Price is, but he may not get picked for a franchise attack.

He played 1 first class game for the Eagles at the back end of last season. I'd heard that he'd signed for the Mountaineers ahead of this season, so it's possible that he just hasn't been able to force his way in ahead of Masakadza, Tiripano & Chatara.

Calum Price did make the one first class match last season after his Zimbabwe under 19 tour. He played for the eagles against the Rhinos and took 2 -40 off 15 overs. He was due to sign for the Mountaineers after the four month stint playing for Stone in Staffordshire where he took 73 wickets for the season. He damaged his back shortly after his return and should be fit again to play towards mid January.
