good for Jarvis, he will surely get even better with more game, he even score runs, what our players need is positive critism not looking down upon them. As they say you are only as good as your competition, we need these players to be exposed in all these different conditions and leagues, well done Jarvis

Thanks for that link. Jarvis will have another sleep and then a chance to get three more wickets tomorrow. Very impressive beginning to the stint.

Don't encourage him...? Maybe he's acknowledged the warnings for his own sake. Good on him
5/58 in the 1st innings, followed up by 2/9 early in the 2nd innings, not bad. Some work is being done with the new ball.

Judging by the economy rates, and comparative success with the his 19/22 yr old virtual debutants(some help from he batting allrounders), I'd say it's pretty much plain sailing.

Funny of people to say our Logan Cup is weak. Poor sets of players there too. Jarvis would never have 7 wickets at this stage against the Rhinos, Tuskers or Mountaineers, let alone at this economy rate!

At least he's having less of a nighmare than the level he should be delivering at the whole time with Zimbabwe! Naturally Hamish, Watling & a match unfit Vettori, being the only notable batsmen, weren't troubled much by him.

When Jarvis gets 10 for 10 off 8 overs, hhm will still complain he didn't bowl enough maidens.

These are great results for Jarvis. New Zealand domestic cricket is far and away stronger than Logan Cup.

If you say so ...

mmm - on second thoughts, some evidence would be more persuasive...

we are not too far off from NZ league, its only that they are more professional and organised than us. Jarvis is doing his bit, BT did it too, De Grandhomme is doing it too. Quite a lot of Zim and Zim A players can surely fit into their league. with Jarvis doing well, they will get more players to improve their domestic league

Sorry I agree with Eugene :) our pro last year plays for Wellington, and he told me that their first class structure is probably at the same stage as county 2nd XI's. I don't think our first class system is at that stage

My words say more than real evidence ever could.
