I think KJ should be in any team we put out - don't think i've veered from that position. Not sure he should be leading the attack but he would certainly make my test team
If you look at their batting charts
eugene, you'll find that of the
top 30, those very wickets he picked feature poorly - apart from Hamish. Those other top order wickets have on ething in common - no centuries in about 8 innings each. Not much of threat then - his kind of victims!
Have a look at this
scorecard to see how powerful the Logan Cup is. In fact,
all eight seamers outperformed him in the respective 1st innings - where as usual his effort yielded little despite 3 of the top seven being familiar to him. While he may have picked up 4 wickets in the 2nd innings, it was Manatsa who picked up the 3 of the 5 key wickets. He did pick up one of his nets sparring partners at the second attempt though. But this match made it impossible for Shingi to be excluded for the Napier Test, its 2nd innings further justifies why he made the breakthrough.
Just as these youngsters picked up the key wickets for him, Jarvis thrives on others doing the work for him, that's why we're allways doomed due to our Innings defeats! I agree that he shouldn't be leading the attack, but unlike you
betterdays, I still wouldn't trust him beyond drinks right now!
