Re: Zimbabwean former players should return

Post by Detective RDS »

An interesting incident happened last night.I saw Zimbabwe playing test cricket again and this is the team they were playing with:

1.Brendan Taylor
2.Hamilton Masakadza
3.Sean Williams
4.Dirk Viljoen
5.Tatenda Taibu(WK)
6.Elton Chigumbura
7.Charles Coventry
8.Andy Blignaut
9.Graeme Cremer
10.Raymond Price
11.Tawanda Mupariwa

Fianally,Zimbabwe got some of the players back infact 4 players: Taylor,Viljoen,Coventry and Blignaut. Its a good step that ZC has fianally paid Andy Blignaut his deserve sallary and he wants to play.Dirk Viljoen also returned to the test format after 7 years and he is to bat in the 4th spot, good strategy.Brendan Taylor and Charles Coventry is also back in the team, thats great!

Suddenly,I found myself in my room. Then I realized that it was just a DREAM !!!!!
Oh no,nothing has changed at all. :o

But,indeed a great dream!!!

I do hope we wake up one day with such a squad. It pains me to see country crumbling each and every day.

Indeed,it pains me too watching the condition of Zimbabwean cricket.I think,ZC doesnt care abt it at all.I think, they become happy when the talented players leave the country and if they dont do ZC compelled them to do so.Players in a dispute with ZC is the result of this.A large number of white players wasnt offered a contract back in 2005 telling such rubbish reasons that they werent performing well!!!Cricinfo explains it in a word 'A body blow',I do agree.
