All right, here we go... This was indeed a very tough one.

It is Roger Stringer, who initially managed the Zimbabwe Cricinfo offices, and was the connect between the then ZCU and Cricinfo. Stringer did the first ever online live scoring coverage from Zimbabwe, through Cricinfo.

256. Here's another old white male. Now better know for his work outside cricket, this gentleman has played FC cricket for Rhodesia and provicial cricket post-independence. Who is he?

No.

The man I'm looking for played only a handful of FC matches in the early 1970s alongside the likes of Mike Procter, Brian Davison and Fletcher. Post independence he turned out for a few representative Zim sides against touring teams.
