Hi,

I am chairman of an English club. Our captain has agreed to bring Godwill over for 2013 season, so I was hoping somebody could give me an idea of what we could expect

I see he's struggled so far to make impact I'm first-class cricket. But suppose he's young and the fact he got Tuskers debut at 18 and has captained Zim u19s must mean he's a talent?

Could anybody give an idea on how he might go? We're in the same league as Simon Mugava did so well in last year (a couple of divisions below Premier League club cricket). We had initially agreed to bring over Mutombodzi but that didn't work out when he got selected for national team. We thought we'd pulled off a real coup there!

Thanks! Had seen that. It seems strange that he captained u19 but was in and out of side and didn't go to World Cup!

Hi Leybbm

I would not read too much into the fact he did not break through into the Tuskers side as they have been the most consistent and stable franchise team over the last few years.

In regards to the reason he missed the Under 19 World Cup, he was unlucky that his age fell into the category where he was too old for the competition when he captioned the side.

He comes very highly recommend from Richard Harrision the cricket coach over at Falcon College (And a former first class umpire) which has produced the likes of Heath Streak over the years.

Please keep us updated on how he gets on over the summer as its important that clubs like yourself take some of our youngsters under their wings, we saw with Mugava in the past year that a season in England helps them develop as players and people.

Not as good a cricketer as Mugava with bat or ball, to be honest. I think he will be a useful contributor for you guys in both disciplines, rather than a regular matchwinner. Hopefully this will do him a world of good!

I would say he is a better batter than Mugava.

I wouldn't agree. Mugava has batted as high as 6 for the Rhinos this year, and managed a couple of 50s.
