That clinches it. I believe it is Senyo Nyakutse of Cricket Montreal. But is he a Zimbabwean? I thought he was a Nigerian.

That clinches it. I believe it is Senyo Nyakutse of Cricket Montreal. But is he a Zimbabwean? I thought he was a Nigerian.

Yes, that's him. He was born in Nigeria and i haven't looked at his passport, but he's played for Zim even at U-15 level with Nkala, Madondo and Ewing (http://cricketarchive.com/cgi-bin/playe ... sults1.cgi), and later went to the Academy, so I would think in cricketing terms we might call him "Zimbabwean".

If you want to get an idea of how good Senyo Nyakutse was he opened the batting with Keith Dabengwa in the first team at Milton, and was already playing for the said team from around form three. He was many, many times better than Keith (Keith being a year older btw), was pleasing on the drive and had a powerful pull shot.

Safe to say he would have been opened for Zim now, but was dogged by ill-discipline earlier on in his stint at the Academy.

Thanks for that info, Conant. Guess it's a shame he left Zim after his year at the Academy.

I suppose Michael Essien could give it a good wack if were to pick up a cricket bat. Rather clip one to midwicket than the legs of one or the other of Borussia Dortmund's players tomorrow night.
