Light offered, and Mushfiqur not happy, complains about giving no heads up. He could have gone for spinners. He very well could have, did not need the umpires to tell him. We bowled Hamilton and Cremer yesterday without any prompting...

Anyone who knows what is the Zim record for a nightwatchman?

I hope Zimbabwe go the same line up for the next test series. I noticed that all the top teams keep the same line ups for a couple of series. It is the best way to build a team and have good performances

Do they know it's Christmas time (tomorrow)?

I've been impressed by Shingi in this series. Over and above his abilities with bat and ball, he also has an attitude which many in the team could do well to try and emulate. I only saw a few bits of the match these last few days, but remember an incident where he was clearly trying to wind up and intimidate the batsman. Now, he's clearly taken to the difficult batting job he was given this afternoon without pooing in his pants. Guys like that are precious in test matches.
Peterhouse U14C 4th change bowler and no. 10 batsman (but only because Aaron didn't have a bat).

Nice to see Santa Claus get some runs today.

Didn't watch the last 10 overs or so, but I think this is generally expected of most sides in this stage of a Test. Only makes all the more sense given how umpires usually rob Bangladesh, historically, and in this series. Some might think a #10's wicket and that of a opener are of the same value, but there are also people who think the earth is flat and the Holocaust never happened.

That being said, ZIM have an outside chance of drawing this as Robiul seems exhausted after bowling like a gazillion overs. I hope he's rested for the ODI series.

No, this was not just excessive appealing in the excitement of getting closer to winning the match. It was clearly putting pressure on the umpires with insane levels of appealing. 4 balls in a row. and a couple of balls later, a huge appeal for a direct hit while the batsman was in the crease all along. Subcontinental teams are very bad with this. Sri Lanka to a lesser extent, but the other 3 for sure. They need to behave better when they are moving towards a victory.

Can't wait to see Wellington come up the ranks. May be it runs in the family :)

The Masakadza's must like New Zealand, although I don't remember a place called Shingirai.
