I'll settle for tempting fate by saying "whitewash!". It's been a while since Zimbabwe completed one of them...

I'm sooo tempted to do a Banglacricket-style introduction post for this, but work sadly calls.

I was just wondering if anyone knows what the crowds are like in Kenya.
Brendan Taylor made 13 in Victoria grade cricket on the weekend.

Going by remarks in the CricInfo commentaries, 'moderate' is probably the best word - decent turnout but some way short of a full house. But that seems to be the norm for any match in Kenya.Terryalderman wrote:I was just wondering if anyone knows what the crowds are like in Kenya.
Not one of his better outings..Brendan Taylor made 13 in Victoria grade cricket on the weekend.
(For anyone interested, his club website is here, and league stats including Taylor's are available from the Victorian Premier Cricket website.)

One thing is for sure. I am not expecting any century from our side, although a certain Waters or an Obanda, or a Tikolo could get one for Kenya in this match

It'll be interesting to see what the selectors do in future series, because this 3-man spin attack of Cremer, Price and Utseya is working really well. The problem with only having two seamers is that if even one of them is having a bad day, you find yourself having a few problems.
I think they might start looking for another batting allrounder that can bowl some useful seam up, because we can't use Masakadza forever (although he's not doing badly today it must be said). A few options:
Chamu Chibhabha - probably the most likely to come into the team, but he is such an expensive bowler. Too expensive really for one-day matches but deserves a place in the squad for his batting alone.
Steven Nyamuzinga - Plays for Zimbabwe A, and also represented Zim in the MTN or Pro20 series where I think he even got us over the line with a lower order cameo. A solid batsman, but really poor one-day bowling stats. He will probably come into the team at some point in the future I think.
Admire Manyumwa - Doesn't have the greatest batting stats, but bats in the middle order anyway. He is the best bowler of the three by a long shot, nearly 50 wkts in 16 First Class matches. Played for Zim A against SL, so is definitely on the radar.
Bradley Staddon - His name comes up again. Seems like a more than decent medium-fast bowler, but another person that probably should be considered for his batting alone based on Logan Cup form. Also a Zim A player, which is pleasing... all of these players have either represented Zimbabwe or Zimbabwe A, so on paper we probably have more depth than we think.
