Probably shouldn't have let them get that many, but chaseable none the less

Our death bowling leaves a lot to be desired, I couldn't see BD going past 230

No ned to feel guilty! As a bowler, in this format, I rate Shingi to be as good, if not better than Jarvis. Where Shingi is streets ahead is with his batting. For me, the calculation should be easy.FlowerPower wrote:For a while I was starting to feel guilty about pointing this out...Ming wrote:Jarvis really still has a lot to learn in this format. Even though Shingi can be expensive, at least we can count on him to make up for any wayward deliveries with the bat.
Peterhouse U14C 4th change bowler and no. 10 batsman (but only because Aaron didn't have a bat).

Sad end to a really competitive bowling effort. Still it is the lowest BD have scored this series. Hopefully the top 6 can turn up again. Time for Vusi to make a hundred. We've been waiting long enough.

Even Taylor hasn't scored much in ODIsJemisi wrote:Sad end to a really competitive bowling effort. Still it is the lowest BD have scored this series. Hopefully the top 6 can turn up again. Time for Vusi to make a hundred. We've been waiting long enough.

Re: [MATCH THREAD] Zim v Bangla 3rd Bulawayo ODI
Can someone get me up to speed please, I only heard bits and pieces of the bowling effort - didn't see a thing.
How was Vitori? I heard the commentators saying he was bowling it really fast, and it sounded like he was getting some serious swing. What was going on - was he swinging the white ball as much as Jarvis did the red ball in the 1st Test? Was Vitori swinging it both ways? What happened to Chigumbura? Who was getting more turn; Williams or Utseya?
Thanks

I saw Vitori's opening spell and I had a massive cheesy smile watching it, IT WAS AWESOME! Bowling with gas, penetration and swing. His wicket of Islam was just amazing, middle stump completely obliterated and the pace was evident by how much the bangladeshi batters seemed rushed for pace. Even Rahim looked uncomfortable against him. Really good selection in my opinion.
Jarvis wasn't swinging the white ball atall. He looked like his first spell was sharp but lacked any the penetration that his partner was getting. Bowled too short and then too full. Utsea, in fairness, bowled well, but wasn't getting much spin if any. Williams bowled ok, hey he got a wicket, but his lack of overs under his belt showed as Nasir Hossain took advantage. Your favorite player kept very very well and took a beauty off Chatara, who bowled very well I might add in his first spell.
With Chatara I think we've found a very good prospect, but that fitness is appalling. When he comes back he looks really stiff and his pace is evidently down.
Didin't see what happened to Chigs, when for a piss

Pulled a groin muscle - pulled up during his run, clearly not happy. ZC have tweeted that they're *hoping* he'll be able to bat, but with no runners allowed these days, that could be a problem...sloandog wrote:Didin't see what happened to Chigs, when for a piss
