[Match Thread] Zimbabwe v Bangladesh: Both T20Is

This match wasn't lost by silly batting only, it was also due to some inappropiate bowling options. Horses for courses chaps! We can afford it.Muzhange is a good T20 bowler, why do we have to go with Shingi (a great strike bowler, and becoming a fantastic Test bowler, but can never take 10 in 4 overs). At least Jarvis was spared.

Other bowlers to look at Chatara, Panyangara, Chinouya, Mupariwa, Chatara being one to invest in as in terms of age and talent he is most likely to go further. Rainsford, Mpofu, Mupariwa and Panyangara will most likely have 3 at most 4 more years in them. Jarvis, Vitori, Chatara, Meth and Muzhange are the future, with Utseya, Cremer and the 2 Ms holding the future slow bowling department.

We have the talent, we just aren't using it right.

I agree that Muzhange has been harshly treated and is a very, very good option for T20s.

For heaven's sake, Hamilton can bowl a lot more. 1-0-4-1 and he doesn't get a bowl again. He is not just a golden arm, he can be at least 3/4ths the 5th bowler in shorter formats.

What could be in his favour though is that he doesn't bowl a lot. If he bowls more than he currently does then the opposition will start paying attention to him. Right now to other teams he's a confusing novelty along the lines of Ponting rolling his arm over.

That's true, but he has control, I would not do a comparison with Ponting, He is more on the lines of a Ganguly or a Steven Waugh in the latter stages of his career. He is not a military medium bowling machine, he does have a thinking brain. So may come off better than we expect regularly.

I just meant that right now he's a novelty like "Why is their number three having a bowl?" ala Ponting, not that they are similar bowlers

I believe that if Zimbabwe played as much international cricket as all the Top countries we would climb the Rankings. We have some talent in our side who needs more exposure at the top level. San williams and BT could get a spot in some of the other top nations

What the hell is Mushfiqur doing standing up in the umpires face like that. Yeah a few decisions have gone against Bangladesh but that is not on.

Frustration clearly showing. Poor team performance, equally poor umpiring throughout the series, announces an emotional resignation, retracts resignation, and now comes out at the umpires. I think they charged the umpires because they felt he was unfairly mediating some spat between Williams and Mahmudullah.

Frankly, with the way the umpires have officiated this series, I'm in full support of getting in their faces and giving them a little attitude. Well worth a match fee if they end up fining them, IMO. Cricket is too much of a sissy sport with their fines for dissent and all. We could use a little more thuggery in the sport.

I didn't see any of the T20's as I had a double weekend of matches, but I've heard that Mahmadulla was shouting at the umpire, and now i see that Rahim did a similar action. Anybody fancy giving a more detailed analysis for me ?
