I don't know what more clue I can add, apart from saying that his is a very uncommon surname. I would have not even tried possibly faced with this question, so it was nice exploring

Btw, while reasearching this I have stumbled across the possibly only Rhodesian FC player born in Germany (not a German surname, but a German middle name), but no photo yet. If someone comes up with the name, there might be a bonus point on offer

Yes, Theo Passaportis it is. Quite an unusual surname, tried searching for the source, and actually found quite a lot of Passaportis folks of Zim origin, including that Rugby player.

Indeed, In fact, I can't believe how much I have researched about Passaportis in the last couple of days, trying to map all the articles to the same man. A fully functional "Semantic Web" of Tim Berners Lee's dreams would kill all the fun of quizzing

Let me add he (the father) has represented Rhodesia in his playing days, if not very often.
