From the sounds of things Craig Ervine is gone for good ......

Im a massive fan of Elton and on his day he is world class only problem is his days don't come around often enough ......

Batting is a massive problem no depth whatsoever, the guys in the franchise system just arnt putting up big enough numbers, Zimbabwe need to organise some A tours, imagine how much better Malcolm Waller, Mutizwa, Mutumbami, Moor, Maruma, Kasuza, Kaihya and even Cephaus would be if they went and toured India or Australia or New Zealand and made some runs. They would come back much better players from the experience of playing in foreign conditions. They could go to Australia and play against every state team which would give them 6 1st class matches and Im sure Australia would even put together an A team to play them as well in a 2 or 3 "unofficial Test " series, they could end up playing 8-9 1st class matches in Australia now that would be massive for a young batsman's development.

Even older players like Chibhabha and Matsi could could make use of an tour ......

Yeah I was just going to start a thread about Mark Vermuelan tosee what others thought about bringing him back to open ......

It seems only Tino Mawoyo wants to open and if Vusi is goin to move down the order I cant see anyone else capable of opening in test matches ....

He is 34 so should still have a couple good years left in him .....
