these boys are making me rethink my natural strategy of defensive indifference to the chances of winning.
lunch brought some disaster - let's hope tea is a more friendly break

Great recovery, I'd still call that session a draw as we lost the two big names and dont have much to come, but after winning the morning we are still in with a show. Problem is not just reaching the 250, we need at least 100 more than that to realistically have a chance.

Yep, definitely. The odds of us bowling Pakistan out for 250 or less again are low, and the chances of us stringing two good batting performances together are also low... so we have to make this count.Jemisi wrote:Great recovery, I'd still call that session a draw as we lost the two big names and dont have much to come, but after winning the morning we are still in with a show. Only trail by 86, these two have done really well. I'd love to see Waller make a big score... but it's too early to say the "c" word!

Peterhouse U14C 4th change bowler and no. 10 batsman (but only because Aaron didn't have a bat).

Well we needed a century stand, but I wouldn't have put money on it coming from these two.

And now

I'll give you a clue... he's 30 away now. But the important milestone for Waller to pass now is his own highest Test score, from his debut Test.Ming wrote:?? Cucumber ??brmtaylor.com admin wrote:... but it's too early to say the "c" word!
And there's another

The first Zimbabwean to score a 50 on Test debut since his partner down the other end, Malcolm Waller. And I think Terry Duffin was the one before that?
Great work Raza, and brought it up in style too

Splendid fifty from Raza!
The guy's got panache, that's for sure!

Waller gone, damn. I wanted him to beat his high score
Thankfully because of Raza breaking the shackles in the last few overs we're down to a deficit of just 54. Hopefully Chigumbura is able to find some runs, and this partnership can be responsible for erasing the deficit completely.
