He played two List A matches and scored one run in each innings. Last time I checked, he was teaching at a school in Thailand.

Wow! there is a Zimbo in every corner of the world...foreignfield wrote:He played two List A matches and scored one run in each innings. Last time I checked, he was teaching at a school in Thailand.
That brings me to the next question.
373. Closer home to foreignfield. Who is this former first class cricketer who is currently living in Germany?

OK, additional clue: He has played first class cricket for both Rhodesia and a South African Provincial side...

Re: Zimbabwe Cricket Photo Quiz
Well, I can tell you about the only Rhodesian FC cricketer born in Germany, Peter Werner Leslie Geach who played two FC matches in 1978/79. Looking at his birthplace and his middle name "Werner" his father must have been with the British Forces in Germany and his mother a German.
About that other fellow, just a stab in the dark: Martin Benkenstein?

Nope, not him. This man hasn't played too much of FC cricket by the way...foreignfield wrote:About that other fellow, just a stab in the dark: Martin Benkenstein?

Just checked the German telephone directory and found a Peter Duncan Wallace, Rhodesia and Natal (if it's the same person), living in Berlin.

Nope, no idea about that whatsoever. Nothing related to cricket for sure...foreignfield wrote:Do you have any insight into what he's up to there?
