How you arrive at that conclusion based on my quote only you can explain. Anyway, the trend here has always been, in the face of any uncomfortable facts, resort to unqualified personal expletives towards yours truly. I'm not the least bit surprised. Those are tactics which speak volumes. This cricket forum is unlike any other. It's not as if forumites consume themselves with the technical aspects of a player/coach/ground to do with Zimbabwe cricket at every opportunity.jaybro wrote:Mate seem to know a lot of shit but clearly you have no idea about cricket
More than anything else, it's a platform to bash Dabengwa&Matsi; move mountains to argue Campbell isn't as bad as Ozias&Peter; constantly mourn how horrible ZC administrators are and predict the death of cricket in this country while they are at it; proclaim easily our worst Test spinner Cremer as Warne's heir apparent arguing that one day his 1/150 at 6rpo will miraculously turn into 5/63 because he's good for it; call for an early international cap for Welch ahead of Chari&Kasuza so he can be tied to Zimbabwe; constanly proclaim a certain group of players dominating our u17&19 sides as future saviours&world beaters of Zim cricket IF they stay, yet they are merely serial failures against poor SA provincial sides and at the u19WC - something simply put down to "an off day" each time, while ignoring the impressive exploits of the minority accompanying them; dismiss a man who JWard considers our best batsman as Santa Claus everytime he makes a century, while terming Taylor the cricket gods' gift to Zimbabwe each time he reaches a similar milestone; lament as losses those "Zimbabweans" who couldn't care less about Zimbwabwe cricket, while praising those external figures who have everything&anything negative to say about Zimbabwe and cricket here.
If this is the measure of one's knowledge of the game then jaybo my dear colleague, I'm quite content in my ignorance! I seem to recall once sharing a link where some visitors wrote off this very forum as shithouse, and that 70% of the posters are clueless. I guess I can take comfort in at least knowing that I am seldom in the minority then.

Clearly, your expression points to something more derisory when your mind processes those names, so I'm interested to know what precisely it amounts to....sloandog wrote:WTF is this ??!!
However, "Zimbabwean men" will suffice as an answer. But to be specific it's a 15-man cricket squad Zim may have to send to the WC next year. 10 internationals, and 5 debutants as of now sounds like an excellent platform to me!

Re: Melbourne Renegades call up Solomon Mire
the fact u left the greatest t20 player Zimbabwe has produced ( statically anyways ) Hammi out of your squad along with BRMT the best batsman in the team plus the best t20 bowler we have Utseya along with other strong contributors Willimas, Waller etc for guys like Regis ( technically sound but not attacking enough for t20 ) defensive opener Chari and others un proven at international level some who have no ambition to play for Zimbabwe or more to the fact arent even in the country ( Mire and Kasteni ) shows my point you have no idea or have other agendas .....
please explain these decisions and i may take back my assumption ......

It's pretty clear you're not aware of the context then. But you could've asked. Senior players are playing hard ball. Those able selections are a compromise to deal with their being sidelined.jaybro wrote:please explain these decisions and i may take back my assumption ......
By your join date it's safe to say you're the 11th monkey in the cage. However, as far as the interchange of love goes, I see you employ the team signature as our long lost friend once did, so direclty/indirectly the affection&admiration is mutual.... I like you too man!

(You would do well to delete your foul comment before it attracts the attention of admin. It's unbecoming.)
He's a senior player. I can go so far as to say he's the key snitch for the outside world so there's no way he would be brave enough to remain once the others (i.e. Hami, Utseya etc) are culled.ZIMDOGGY wrote:Out of curiosity...why taylor?
I know Panyangara is eager to get a stable income in the game outside in Eng/NZ/Aus. Don't forget that, Watambwa aside who was being sidelined by the old administration(Taibu came back), Panyangara is the famous African name that turned its back on ZC. All of which means he's quite capable of doing the same again. Considering his deserved rise from after he came back from lowly club cricket in England, to key national team bowler, he stands to lose at lot at his age. Competition is stiff for bowlers, and he isn't exactly blessed with pace. Watambwa I believe is married and gainfully employed, something Panyangara couldn;t manage so his tertiary skills can't be that attractive either. Zim offers him more than anywhere else I'd like to think.
NB: Where's Ruswa? His name crossed my mind as I was shorlisting the names that turned their back above, and it quickly reminded me tha that the late Roebuck took care of alongside the young man Psychology Maziwisa(who happens to be a rising star of ZANU). Would be interesting for him to shed light on what exactly went on there.
Re: Melbourne Renegades call up Solomon Mire
From your list, Kasteni, Mire and Mugava have all left for pastures new already.

Well half or your ' Loyal ' players have already left or are trying to leave and turn their backs Zimbabwean cricket so how are they more loyal then the poor guys strinking atm ..... Mpofu and Regis have been trying to get to Aus to play club cricket I think we would see the ' Mire ' effect kick in there and these guys wouldnt return if they do get a start here in Aus, so I cant see who is more loyal ???
