Clue 1: Rhodesia
Clue 2: Although an old timer, this man in question finally did something this week that is seen as common for big names of this generation.

Re: Zimbabwe Cricket Photo Quiz
Let me see ...
The first photo is C.B Fry, the second of course the Don. They do have one thing in common with a player who used to play for Rhodesia: Mike Procter scored six centuries on the trot like Fry and Bradman before him.
So far, this makes sense to me, but your second clue has left me utterly confused, Crimson, as you obviously mean something else completely.

Re: Zimbabwe Cricket Photo Quiz
As an aside, here's another link between Zimbabwe and the Don: Zimbabwe-born sculptor Mitch Mitchell, who lives in Australia, has created a life-size bronze sculpture of the great master's cover drive, on display at the MCG museum (http://www.smh.com.au/photogallery/spor ... 2xm3m.html, http://mitchmitchellsculptor.com/work.html).
In 2012 a bust of the Don by Mitchell was presented to Sachin Tendulkar as a farewell present by CA after India's tour of Australia. http://www.indiannewslink.co.nz/index.p ... mpany.html
