We can only pick from those players. I also like the idea of the $10000 marquee player. We all have to pick that player first. Perhaps we make it that that player does not fit under the salary cap?
All the details of how it works is in tat initial post. I don't think we need the salary cap exemption. We can make a decent squad even if one picks 2 $10000 guys. There are plenty of quality $500 folks available .
But makes sense to have one $10000 guy per side. Will wait till a response from BRMT Admin on that before starting off with my first pick.
foriegnfield, by the way, has already ensured a great team of backroom staff for us at Mutare - with Gary Brent continuing at the helm. More details of that soon... One thing we have ensured though, nobody of the Dutch origin will be entertained
Nice. I think the 10000 player easily fits in, but of course you could choose not to have one, then someone would be able to buy two of them. But I am happy to go either way. I have about 24 hours before I am away for a night, back Saturday evening. Can we get a couple of rounds in at least?
All right, marquee player or not, first name on out team sheets would be Hamilton Masakadza anyway (and with that, we have won the next season's T20 competition already ). So, there, we have begun.
There is no requirement for (or limit on) marquee players. If you want to build a squad without one that is fine. The $30000 can be used in whatever way you see fit
Although I'm not involved in the draft can I make a suggestion ?? That we leave out the imports like Pettini, Housego and co. I don't mind having Nathan Waller and PJ Moor because they are eligible for selection but since the Rocks have been dissolved I think there are enough quality players to fill the 4 teams ......
But with only 4 imports - 1 out of a squad of 15? Seems ok to me, especially when we are talking about the potential depth in the Logan Cup and the imports are hitting big runs.
