Phantom Draft
Re: Phantom Draft
As a result, Mash Eagles now select Nick Welch.
Re: Phantom Draft
With our 4th Pick, the Rhinos select Malcolm Waller for $3000.
Re: Phantom Draft
Tuskers are going to take a risk on the current leading Logan cup run scorer Mark Vermulen
Re: Phantom Draft
No risk of a veto with Mark. Rhinos almost selected him but Waller's back up bowling and relative youth made the difference.

Re: Phantom Draft
So Vermeulen is continuing his journey around the franchises, no surprises there. The veterans are piling up in Bulawayo.
The think tank at Mountaineers are busy sifting through the scouting reports, but I'm sure our chief executive will be here soon to tee off round 5.

Re: Phantom Draft
Just checked the scoreboard of the Pro50 match where Shingi and Larry have again started right on the money. You guys can pick as many batsmen as you like, but Mountaineers have the pace to dismantle every batting line-up in the country.

Re: Phantom Draft
There were five legitimate attack leaders in the draft. Goats have two. Certainly the strongest bowling line-up so far.
Re: Phantom Draft
Need a good balance between youth and experience, Vermulen and Sibanda have been there and done it and as well as scoring runs will help guide the younger playersforeignfield wrote:So Vermeulen is continuing his journey around the franchises, no surprises there. Re: Phantom Draft
I think that is a brilliant pick, Mark Vermeulen, for the Tuskers. He can turn on the gas when needed, so fits in all formats even at this age!
So, "The Last Rhodesian goes to Bulawayo" could be the sequel to the "Last Rhodesian"
