403. Born in Zimbabwe, this gentleman has made a difference to cricket all around the globe. He's not a player, nor a coach, but who is he?

Absolutely! Richard Beghin, creator of the Flicx cricket pitch, now based in the UK.

Btw, when I looked at the Flicx website I noticed another Zimbabwean working there: Gary Luke, a farmer who emigrated to the UK after being kidnapped by "war veterans" at the height of the farm invasions. Here's some more about that: http://www.zimbabwesituation.com/april18.html

I think the charm of this pitch is that you can use it on any level playing surface which you share with whatever other sport. Of course it's not a turf wicket, but people seem to praise it's true and consistent bounce. Anyone ever played on one?

The fact that both the ECB and the ICC endorse the product (it has been used for a number of ICC tournaments at the affiliate level) probably means it's pretty useful.

I'm actually surprised nobody had the idea (or the know how to make it work) before. Zimbos are a resourceful bunch. :D

Neither did I before I searched for an answer to your previous question. Somewhere along the way "club cricket" + "Zimbabwe-born" brought this up :)
