Well again it depends where you play.

Small clubs won't pay their local players and therefore will be able to pay more to the overseas players!

For example in the small leagues in England, scottish leagues and irish leagues not many local players will get paid.

But the club that Garwe signed for in the Birmingham league will likely player their whole first team something, even if it is travel expenses.

Most clubs expect a lot in return for these overseas players though, lots of coaching and performances on the pitch

Again Id say that depends where you play.

Where I play all locals have to pay as it is league rules but players can get paid travel expenses.

But yes I pay pay fees of £138 a year with match fees as well

I would imagine that England has significantly stronger club teams than Scotland? Ill keep tabs on Dylan Nel who is playing in the Devon Cricket League. Also on Brandon Diplock who is playing in the Central Lancashire League. Saw them play at u19 level and think they are great talents !

Should we create a new thread for the overseas guys results or what?

Although in saying that I have seen many international cricketers play in Scotland either before or after making the international stage such as

Tim McIntosh
Michael Papps
Matt Horne
Malcolm Waller
Michael Hussey
Ed Cowan
Luke Butterworth
Gavin Ewing
Roger Telemachus
George Bailey
Justin Langer
Adam Gilchrist
Tom Cooper

And thats only off the top of my head

This. It is probably behind the best leagues in England, but easily as good as many others.

Agreed it will never match the Birmingham Leagues or Lancashire Leagues but still good cricket is played.
