Pakistan v Zimbabwe, 3rd ODI, Lahore

Post by Dr_Situ(ZimFanatic) »

On the backdrop of a suicide bomb attack, Zimbabwe is still in Lahore looking forward to the dead ODI. Pak police still maintaining cylinder blast theory to hush hush the affair when it is known that it was a failed suicide attack. We have done more than our share of extending our Olive. Both series lost, no point in playing the last match that too in an oven of 45 degree C. What are we getting in return - players doing their best to survive the heat stroke but still if the cooling off process takes few overs then was it justifiable to ban the inform skipper? No body plays in furnace. Ask ICC to frame rules under these conditions out in ground. Moreover, umpiring is off top notch standards. Lastly, Pakistani citizens have lost their lives and who wants to play cricket? SL were attacked and there was a failed attempt day before. Zim should have called this off and if it was so necessary to play this match it should have been included in the return leg of Pak's tour of Zim.

Still, if somebody is interesting in this fearful atmosphere, here is the preview

Roy Kaia must play. Vusi and Richie should pack their luggage and Chamu-Raza should open.

2 matches was too harsh but we were shockingly lazy with the over rate in game 1. They stuffed around a lot often pausing after every ball of an over for a chat.

Kaia and Mpofu in for Mupariwa and Vitori (apparently injured).
Peterhouse U14C 4th change bowler and no. 10 batsman (but only because Aaron didn't have a bat).

Panyangara is pathetic. Im sorry but he has attitude problems and cant walk the talk, what is he doing in the ODI and t20 teams ?? Happy conceding us 70 runs every game.
