So probably a bit early but the team might be shaping up as follows:

1. Brian Chari
2. Vusi Sibanda????
3. Hamilton Masakadza
4. Sean Williams
5. Regis Chakabva
6. Mutumbami/Waller???
7. Elton Chigumbura
8. Shingi Masakadza
9. Tinashe Panyangara
10. Tendai Chatara.
11. Graeme Cremer.

Of course Cremer will bat higher up, just included those show we will likely have three seamers
despite playing in Bulawayo.

Or maybe John Nyumbu if he performs in the 2nd warm up for one of the seamers. Who knows?

There's Tiripano as well; its possible the not-fully-to-his-best Chatara might miss out.

I really think by Zim standards Chari has nailed his opening spot now. Question is who's going to open with him?

Would have loved to see Vusi Sibanda at four but that middle order is crowded and Hamilton Masakadza won't be moved from three just to accommodate Vusi. Nice headache for selectors to have when Sean Williams is not out injured, Vusi is performing and Waller is batting cool as cucumber.

Which means drop Elton and find another opener somewhere??? Your thoughts?

And, or, I forgot Craig Ervine. Does he fit in?
There is no reason why Craig Ervine can't fit in the line up ahead of Waller & Mutumbami both of whom have struggled mostly in their international career whereas Craig Ervine excelled in the ODIs. Definitely in terms of records & quality Craig Ervine is a better batsman than Malcolm Waller & Richmond Mutumbami.

I will prefer Vusimuzi Sibanda in the middle order and so this means H Masakadza will open.

If H Masakadza doesn't want to open then Sibanda will open.

MY XI from the look of things:

1. Brian Chari
2. Hamilton Masakadza
3. Craig Ervine
4. Sean Williams
5. Regis Chakabva (WK)
6. Vusimuzi Sibanda
7. Elton Chigumbura
8. Graeme Cremer (C)
9. Shingirai Masakadza
10. Tendai Chatara
11. Tinashe Panyangara

How are you deliberating Ervine not being included?
Because he's terrible poor against spin and a walking wicket in all the Test matches I have watched him play. Not so Waller, and even Mutumbami who has the numbers in the past two years to back it up.
Couldn't have said it any better..
Rupeni seeing as you are a ZC employee and would hang around HSC can I get your thoughts on the following young pace bowlers?

Carl Mumba
Cuthbert Musoko
Brandon Diplock
Brighton Zhawi
Kyle Bowie

Ervine is a guaranteed selection, surely?

Probably only him, Masakadza, Cremer and Chatara are guaranteed at this stage.

Is Ryan Burl still injured? A real shame as this would have been his time.

Ervine blitzed the Logan cup this season with a average of 95.40. Top scorer to and did it all in just 3 matches. Scored two odi 100s in the last year to. Best batsman we got in my opinion apart from t20s. Hammy is the undisputed king in that format :D

Rupeni seeing as you are a ZC employee and would hang around HSC can I get your thoughts on the following young pace bowlers?

Carl Mumba
Cuthbert Musoko
Brandon Diplock
Brighton Zhawi
Kyle Bowie

*****Carl Mumba: The best fast bowler out off this lot and the quickest.. He will go far if he keeps his head straight

Cuthbert Musoko: Kind of lost his way a little bit. Needs to move away from the Goats and maybe move to Rhinos so as to get more game time.. He's lost a yard of pace also.

*****Brandon "Dipaz" Diplock: The best cricketer out of this lot. A genuine swing bowler who operates at about 125-130 clicks but I feel bowls within himself..He has great control and an excellent slower ball (bowls the slower leg cutter and the back of the hand one very well) but needs to toughen up(he quickly whines and gives up if things dont go his way) and "grind" when not given an opportunity.. He also needs to work on his fitness. He can also hold the willow. If he works on his fitness and mental toughness there's no reason for him not to become the best allrounder in the country.

Brighton Zhawi: A hard worker and a very positive lad. He's a nice chap and has the right attitude.. He had a decent debute season

Kyle Bowie: A genuine in-swing bowler in the "Meth" pace range.. A torn hamstring cut his season short.. Nice bloke who rocks a mean beard!! lol

Zim A batsman putting up a decent fight so far. 153-2, great effort against a decent attack.
