John Ward is the most respected journalist for Zimbabwean cricket, goes back to cricinfo's early days and his ZC Online newsletter which Satendra Singh frequented as a commenter.
John works fulltime for ZC so that he is why he is a reliable source of information.

Ahh, OK. Always good to have insiders around. I have a couple insider friends at the BCB - well one guy is the nephew of the BCB vice president and he lives stateside so he doesn't have much info usually, lol. Do you know Ward outside of his role at ZC or did you somehow just luck out and get him as a contact?

Questions for John Ward.
1. How do you rate Tarasai Musakanda ? What can be done for his development purpose other than placing him in Zim A & Zim development XI ?
2. What will be your Zimbabwe development XI considering players who are available for selection ?
Thank you eugene.

Re: The John Ward column
John will need more time to answer the second question, but here are his thoughts on Musakanda.
Tarisai Musakanda seems to be maturing very rapidly. In the present series he has looked very sound, mature, composed and confident – perhaps a little too confident in yesterday’s match, but hopefully he has learnt a small lesson from that! On these performances he looks as if he may even be ready for Test cricket now, but it may be rather soon for that. But I don’t know him as a person; all I can say is the Pakistani bowlers are pretty good and he has consistently handled them better than anyone else in the team.

A good, solid, exciting batter to fit nicely alongside Ervine and Williams in the middle order by the sounds of it!
