I completely agree with you, alan 132. I really think that this time we are going to win 8-)

To be honest, we didn't actually copy the Rhinos fan but we just liked their idea and followed it. We are dedicated to our team. I believe a player gets success when he plays for the team not for himself and a team gets success when they play for their supporters, fans. So finally, it's all about us... :D

Excellent :D

And a good start by Tuskers, although at 99/7, we should have finished them off, but let us hope that we put up a huge total on board now, and drive home the advantage.

Well done Mpofu, Mupariwa, Nyumbu.

Bad news guys, we have again failed in the batting department.

The only big news is the return of Dion Ebrahim in our lineup. He opened the innings and scored our innings highest 41 runs as an opener. The other contributions came from Tafadzwa Ngulube (39) and Gregory Strydom (32).

We were all out scoring 191 runs in the 1st innings giving Mountaineers a lead of 12 runs though they scored only 203 in the 1st innings.

After the end of day 2, they have got a lead of 89 runs with 8 wickets in hand.

Now we should just try to bowl them out as soon as possible and chase whatever they lead by in the remaining two days. We have got Ebrahim and Duffin, both can bat through. There are aggressive batsmen like Vermeulen, Williams, Coventry and Strydom. Ngulube also playing well. So, guys not to worry at all :D

This time we have failed in the bowling department also. Mpofu and Nyumbu took 2 wickets while Mupariwa was wicketless :( Strydom picked up a wicket.

With only one more day to left, we are chasing 406 runs with the loss of promoted batsman Tafadzwa Ngulube. Dion Ebrahim will be joined by night watchman Madhiri.

I think it won't be intelligent for us to look for win. If we do so, we will surely loss 99%. We just look now look for a drawn by batting through the day. We know, Dion Ebrahim is very capable of doing that. We have got batsmen like Vermeulen, Williams, Duffin, Coventry, Strydom still to come. So, not to worry much.

But personally I think that we are one bowler short. We could have easily played an allrounder Gavin Ewing in place of Madhiri. Ewing definitely could have served us much well in both batting and bowling prospective.

Two of our players were picked for the Zimbabwean XI side to face Kenya in the Intercontinental Cup. Gregory Strydom and John Nyumbu.

Gregory Strydom scored 16 in 18 delivaries with 3 boundaries in the 1st innings and didn't bat in the 2nd innings.

John Nyumbu's bowling figure in the both are as follows:

15-1-48-1
16-1-54-2

They both made their contribution (may be a little) in the winning Zimbabwean XI side.

Four of our players are selected in Zimbabwean ODI squad agaisnt Kenya which will get underway tomorrow :D

1. Mark Andrew Vermeulen
2. Charles Kevin Coventry
3. Sean Williams
4. Christopher Mpofu

Williams and Mpofu were the most consistent Tuskers players so far in this season while Vermeulen was the best player of Tuskers in the 1st round. Coventry didn't do much well but he holds the record of highest individual ODI innings (194*) equalling Syed Anwar and we all know about his power hitting.

A very best of luck to all of them. Hope they will be successful :W:

Though we lost both pair (Logan+Faithwear) of our matches, hope we will be back soon and start our winning rows.

We will be without our four key players in our next encounter against Mashonaland Eagles.

Tuskers v Eagles at Bulawayo
Oct 14-17 (09:30 local, 07:30 GMT)

We have to bank on our young guns for this match. Bonaparte Mujuru and Brendon Marsh may be in the side with Gavin Ewing who has already returned in our side through a Faithwear match. Freedom Takarusenga may get a look in along with some other young players, I prefer Matthew Williams also. We have to strongly depend on Dion Ebrahim, Gregory Strydom and Tafadzwa Ngulube to get succeed in the batting department. It's a good thing that John Nyumbu is an in-form in our team. Hopefully he and Ewing will take on the spin department and I suggest Gavin Ewing to go up the order. He has a very good FC batting average of 37.69

It's fair to point out the Eagles will be missing Cgigumbura,Garwe, Mutizwa and Price. That makes me hopeful somewhat, even though they still have Regis Chakabva and others. For me Ebrahim, Mupariwa and Nyumbu will be key.

Ebrahim did well, and so did Mujuru, but not enough runs on the board. It will be interesting to see what Meth can do today.

From match thread:
Train Driver wrote:Close of play score on day 3

Tuskers 237 & 101-5 - Eagles 419

Tuskers still 81 runs behind with just 5 wickets in hand

Chakava 109 and Butterworth 111 for Eagles while Mujuru 52* is about the last man able to stop Eagles tomorrow.
OK, I'm now officially in panic mode. Right now the priority is to salvage a draw, much more than we deserve.

It's very sad indeed.... :(

In the 1st innings, Dion Ebrahim, Bonaparte Mujuru and Keegan Meth served us very well with the bat.

Tawanda Mupariwa is back in his form after taking 4 wickets in this match.

But it has surprised me greatly when I saw that Gavin Ewing didn't bowl at all :?: Terrence Duffin should have considered all his bowling options available.

It's not a good comeback by our skipper Terrence Duffin who made 6 and 22 runs respectively. As a Zimbabwean test batsman, he should have scored much and many more.

Yes, we are heading towards a defeat again. But the most encouraging fact is that Bonaparte Mujuru is still in the wicket batting at 52*. Gavin Ewing and Matthew Williams is still to bat because of sending two night- watchmen.

Now our work is to just avoid the defeat at any means and we should run steadily as well to get a lead. A drawn is now equal to a win for us. Mujuru should bat through. Tawanda Mupariwa is in the crease with him. We all know that Mupariwa bats well at times and he should just around, shouldn't throw his wicket. Hope an excellent effort by Mujuru, Mupariwa, Ewing and M Williams will hand us a drawn.

Go MATABELELAND TUSKERS :4:
