Re: Hamilton Masakadza steps down

I have always found Hammy a great guy to deal with, always friendly, approachable and humble. Twenty years ago we had him, Taibu, Sibanda, Matsikenyeri, all from Churchill School, all tremendous prospects and all great guys of fine character, but sadly their careers were badly damaged by the politic...

Re: Durham tour of Zimbabwe

Durham land in the country on Monday for three weeks. They will play two 3 day games against a Zimbabwe "A" side and them play in the round robin domestic T20 competition. I think each side plays each other once then the finals/qualifier. Very interested to see the make up of the Zimbabwe "A" side....

That was embarrassing. Not our finest moment.
I think it was a disgraceful act of appallingly bad sportsmanship. The umpire should have rejected the appeal out of hand; the batsman was clearly obstructing nobody.

Re: Logan Cup ( Rhinos vs Eagles & Tuskers v Southern Rocks)

Or, an alternative option is to just not play franchise cricket whilst the national team are away on duty? Revert to NPL/club cricket during those weeks. Then ensure Logan Cup fixtures are only scheduled whilst everyone is available. Full availability plus 2 high quality overseas and then 5 sides i...

Re: Logan Cup 24-27 Jan | Rhinos Vs Mountaineers | Rocks Vs Eagles

Ya guys don’t rate him though. Want Jono bloody Campbell or some jazz. I saw Manyonga play for Rangers often in his first season and I was very impressed with his temperament then, often coming good with mature batting when his side was in trouble. I will be surprised if he doesn't do at least reas...

What’s the highest ever Logan Cup score?!?

Zhuwao got 265 a few years ago I think. Anything higher than that?
Zhuwao holds the LC first-class record score as of right now, but back in the 70s Brian Davison once scored 299.

Re: Logan Cup 20th Dec

I make that 4 days out of the last two fixtures lost to a wet outfield at Takashinga whilst OH has only lost 1.5. The Takashinga fiasco is making a complete farce of the Logan Cup. Eagles saved from defeat last match, get a better drained ground and thrashing Rocks in this one. Rhinos denied victor...

Re: Missing members thread

I'm here still. I'm posting less. I find that a T20 gives much less room for input. If we ever play a test I'll be more on board. I don't think Crimson is fully gone. I do miss the general positivity in the old days. We engaged with the misery that is a Zimbabwean fan's lot in a way that is differe...

I was always hoping Steven Trenchard would crack the Zimbabwe lineup, he came close at one point.
Dave Houghton told me he lacked real commitment.
