toss up between Wellie and Raza imo. I'd take Raza though.
Its a bit weird because Ervine bowled Wellie constantly and he surely wouldn't do that if he wasn't going to play, he'd have given Bennett and Madhevere more overs. But if both Raza and Wellie play then who sits out?

This is a good opportunity for Richie to actually put a value on his wicket. A first for everything.
Welch played himself in today. They will have to drop Wellie here. Raza with his attacking spin might get us crucial breakthroughs and he can keep it tight just like Wellie, but he is also a better batting option. That will have to be the reasoning if he plays.

Ya welch was on the block, pulled out a career saving knock

I’d be playing Wellington. Raza is still in Pakistan  had zero match prep and presumably would fly in this week and be jet lagged   no ways you can say bro is test match ready.

Saw what happened in the 2023 ashes with Moeen Ali when he came out of retirement. After a steady diet of t20 and four over spells, that dukes seam chewed his finger up and he couldn’t even bowl  gluing the blisters on his finger and what not.

Genuinely can’t believe anybody would ever pick Wellington Masakadza over Raza. No offence to Welly as I like him.

But come on. You are surely trolling.

Embarrassing defeat. Next week is going to be grim.

Glad I’m going on day 1 instead of day 3

England to beat Zimbabwe within 3 days

English test bowlers are going to be bowling much tigher line and length on 4th stump all day getting it swing if its there otherwise movement off the seam getting to Zimbabwe players edging behind and to the slip cordon

Jeez, losing to England U21’s is hardly the confidence boost needed ahead of the test match. Clutching at straws, at least the majority of the batsmen got time in the middle. Pretty shocked at the tiny number of maidens, bowl like that next week and it will be a blood bath. Secret, if England bat first at least you’ll see a 400 run plus day

You just never know. Its a huge game for us with the world watching. If you want to make a name for yourself this is it. I'm not predicting a miracle win of course, but I'd really like to see the game get to day 4.

Richie keeps batting irresponsibly. In a normal world he'd be on thin ice with his erratic bowling and that innings would have been the cherry on the cake for an annoyed selector. He can definitely hold a bat and that was simply not good enough.

Everyone talks up Blessing and Richie but they can be erratic. If they bring their A game and Victor finds his radar we will not look too bad, but if they bowl like they've just done they'll post a massive total.

Guessing if we can even make England bat again that would be a monumental fit. Otherwise they are going to be stucking up a mammoth total. If anything this game has shown that our batters have a lot of work against better bowlers too. 8 + 3 is the only way to go. But what's a Zim side without a selection shocker. Chivanga is or was already in England can he snick in through the back door.

Bro who plays Logan cup every week and has a test bowling average of 30 or bro who plays t20 franchise every week and has a test bowling average of 40  it’s common sense.

And that’s before you even consider that literally right now he’s still in Pakistan and in four days time will be playing only his second red ball game in three and a half years

Duration of the game depends on the toss. I am going on day 3  , so England must bat first to at least get a sniff of day 3

We have to keep it simple and slow down the game, keep it on 4th and 5th stump all day. otherwise our 2 or 3 good deliveries and the traditional boundary off the 6th will get them to 400 on day 1.

Then if we bat first, I'd take 250/8 at stumps
