Not sure why we're deciding to play like a Test match now. Why not this time last week? :(

6 runs after 4 overs. Pathetic. Show some intent! There's no difference being rolled for 180 or 230.
It’s all in the field placing strategy.

Although yes. It’s pathetic. Did we expect different from these particular bats?

Chamu gets runs but is notoriously slow for the modern game.

Burl is not a better bowler than Mutombodzi. Better batsman yes but with the ball that is not true. The stats don't lie.
You are kind of wrong here. These are their List A stats

Burl: Ball bowled - 834, econ - 5.48, sr - 43

Tino: bb - 2498, econ 4.73, sr - 40

What those stats tell me is that Tino has bowled way more and does not have a much better success rate in terms of wickets taken and less runs conceded. Whilst he has definitely taken more wickets, remember that Tino is considered a bowler and not a part timer. Hence, Burl may have played 57 games, he has not bowled in all of those games, and some times he may have only bowled 1 or 2 overs.

Tino is picked as an all rounder, so when making that decision, you are making that decision and saying that his batting is a factor, but the stats do not back up him being picked for his batting. Burl averages 30 in 50 List A innings and tino averages 22 in 73 innings.

Tino is also 4 years older than Burl which means he has much less room to improve, particularly as our structure does not really do that.

Fields up, huge target - this is the time to go aerial. Not whatever Chibhabha did then... advancing down the pitch to work it off the pads (and he missed it completely). :(

I don't buy the field placing argument. Yes it makes a difference, but it is clearly a decent batting wicket. To be going at 1.81 an over is ridiculous. It is also not only about going big. You manipulate the strike with 1s and 2s and rotate the strike.

How often does it have to be said. This is school boy stuff that guys with years of experience are not fixing.

Unless he accelerates and scores bi—, I mean ‘decent’, the silver lining is he won’t be selected again and won’t have the captaincy.

Really don’t understand what Hamilton was thinking with this one. Same logic applied as that time he ran to the wicket to do the simple run out against Afghanistan when the batsman made it back in time.
He’s not that sharp.
He’s also about 6 months and a few embarrassing defeats to getting dumped himself I think.

Anyone else getting this?
Is anyone in the UK having this issue? Really pissing me off that I can't watch this.

Has anyone managed to find an alternative link?

Wow, that looked like it brushed the pad first before bat then pad again.

I think what I’m getting at is it’s the main factor why test matches nowadays hardly seem to exceed 300 nowadays, whereas an ODI is rare to see a team score below it.

Test matches get more 250 type scores as well as the 500 type scores. It seems to be a result of aggressive field placing that is designed to take wickets only. It’s easier to hit over the top in tests.
