Ervine is the skip but remember for the first 15 years he avoided that like the plague or no one gave it to him, he is pretty much last man standing for the role.

I'll say it again. Mentality. Our guys get a call up and think they've made it.

There's no desire to keep going. To improve beyond what we are at..there's no extra learning and wanting to do that.

Too often we are our guys get the call up and then just plateau. Hammy is the prime example. I still think he had the potential to be a cricket great for his era, but he wasted his career. His stats suggest otherwise, but it's not doing him any favours, because he was just happy with taking it easy. If he even tried to go a level up, he'd had done some truly wonderful things in his career.

Instead, I'll always remember him for trying to Jonty Rhodes a runout and failing miserably.

Zim would be better offering a grant or something to one under 19 each World Cup to stay for three years.

About as good as you could expect from Kaitano. I would like to see Welch spend as much time out in the middle with an old head like Williams as possible. Can only be beneficial for him give his recent form

With Williams gone. Will anyone take it upon themselves to make some runs.

Welch will thrive in T20s and ODIs. Can't blame him, he has to get into the team somehow and this was the format which gave him a chance.
