[MatchThread] - Logan Cup - Tuskers v Rhinos

Post by Train Driver »

Well then, cricinfo have scoreboards up for tomorrows matches with squad lists, where the squads have actually come from remains to be seen of course

Rhinos are listed as Chapungu, Chinwara, Chinouya, Chisoro, Cremer (c), Madziva, Maruma, Masvaure, Mavuta, Mayavo, Moor, Mumba, Munyede, Musakanda, Muzhange, M Nyathi, R Nyathi & Waller

This would mean no Williams, Mbofana, Chitongo or Chokununga from the 19 players who turned out last season and just one new face, Chinwara, while neither Waller or Cremer actually played a single game in 2015/16

If this is the real squad then, sadly, I have as little confidence of Rhino success as I had last year

A team with Cremer, Chisoro, Mumba & Madziva.. All who can start in the national team is being called weak...
PJ Moor & Waller are others national squad batters....
Am I missing something??

if those six play every game fine, but if they are here and there the bench is thin

Well things aren't looking too good at 43-4 from 8 overs, are they?

Masvaure, Musakanda, Moor and Chapungu gone already, Maruma batting at 6 instead of opening, no Mayavo and no Waller, am I missing something?

92-5 at lunch, the master batsman (Sir) Don Graeme Cremer 24* and future Zim Test opener Tendai Maruma 21*, is a team three figure score now on the cards?

50 up for Sir Graeme!

I think this is basically how he feels every time he bats or bowls:

Damnation, Vitori surprises the batsman by bowling one on target ;)

Great 127 run effort by Sir Don Cremer and Sir Viv Maruma getting Rhinos into this game, congratulations also to the new lad, Extras, with a fighting 28*
