I think Madziva has been a bit overlooked in red ball cricket. I quite like Tiripano though.TapsC wrote:who is a better player Madziva or Tiripano? I have always felt that Madziva deserves Tiripano's spot because he has more pace. I would say their batting ability is about the same too although Donald is more patient. Neville averages 29 at first class level too

Same thoughts here. Plus Madziva has a lot of time on his hands to develop himself into a serious bowler over the next season or two. For now, Tiripano is doing an admirable job within his limitations.aydee wrote:I think Madziva has been a bit overlooked in red ball cricket. I quite like Tiripano though.

Goodness me! Tari Musakanda bags a pair and only plays 4 balls across two digs...

Neville will come through he has been putting in a lot of personal fitness in and seems to have recovered from Injury to be considered for slection. As for Mavuta he will get games and he needs games to get the best out of him. The more he bowls the better he becomes he needs rhythm and a consistent flowCrimsonAvenger wrote:Same thoughts here. Yes very disappointing indeed, the only way we can ever be competitive in test matches is if we can find some guys who can bat long ! From the current mob no one really sticks out I was hoping some of our younger batsman would stand up and show the hunger to bat for 200+ balls .....
As for Neville Madziva I really hope he does well this season as he has done previous years, I'm not sure why he's always in and out of the national side he always seems to perform well and as we've previously stated has an appetite for the big moments of a match. I was always 50-50 on Madziva but after that t20 game in BD watching him win the game from no where then the passion in his eyes stump in hand I became a big fan !!!

Vitori will take a tenfer if they bowl them out here.
He is the best paceman we have at the moment. Take that with a big grain of salt since he is chucking.
A vitori/Mumba test bowling opening pair sounds almost semi venomous. If only Chatara could regather what he used to have, even if i dont think he will, then add Cremer and thats actually a solid bowling lineup.

Problem is Vitori has issues with his action and fitness and confidence. Yes on his day he is the most devasting bowler we have but too many question marks over his head ....
If Tinashe and Chatara are fit those two with Mumba is the bowling lineup for a test match I'd take but there are massive questions marks over Tinashe and Chatara .....
