With the news today of Chris Silverwood joining Zim franchise cricket along with Steve Tikolo and Thomas Odoyo, does anyone know if there are limits in place for the number of overseas players allowed to play for one side at any one time ?
Obviously some overseas experience and ability will be a good thing to Zim cricket and to the players themselves, but with only 5 franchise sides it becomes a very fine line between them helping, and them hindering, the chances of Zim players.

Re: Overseas players in Zimbabwean cricket
I haven't heard anything regarding the limit in overseas players per team but i think they are not being strict since we want as much experience as possible to make our league competitive but obviously we have to think about the impact it has for our own players.
12.4 Odhiambo to Vermeulen, FOUR, that's an appalling long hop, Vermulen had plenty of time to get into position, drink a cup of tea, and pull the ball towards the long leg boundary- his first boundary today

I also don't think there is any limitation in keeping overseas players in the squad/XI like IPL has a quota of 10 overseas players in the squad and more than 4 players aren't allowed to play for an IPL franchise side. But as far as I can remember, in the TV commentry of Bangladesh-Zimbabwe series, I heard that about 2/3 foreign players will be playing for each franchise sides.
